Husqvarna 531306369 Chain Saw Maintenance Kit For 455 Rancher and 460

This is a repurchase. Greatest brand ever in power farm/ranch equipment.

I bought a used Husky 460 saw late last season for $200. It had been used a lot but I thought it was well kept. When I first used it, it didn't sound right, like it wasn't running at a steady RPMs. I had the original owner, a Husky only user, look at it, and he assured me it sounded okay to him. Since then I think he might be going a bit deaf.Upon using the machine for the 2nd and the last time for 2014, it was cutting out, bogging and had trouble idling. Something was wrong! Grrrrrr....With this kit, I put in the new spark plug, air filter, and fuel filter, and disassembled much of the machines electronics (saw nothing amiss), and put it away for the winter.Yesterday I ran it hard for a few hours. It's now perfect. I can find no fault with it at all. I think it was the fuel filter, but it might have been a combination of many small things. I can't help but feel that I was unburdening the original owner with a failing machine, and that he didn't want to spend the time to diagnose its problems. Lesson learned for me, and it turned out alright, in fact better then alright.

Does exactly what it’s supposed to do

I definitely agree that this is a great deal for all you get. I originally bought it because I needed the air filter. The fuel filter, spark plug and oil were just icing on the cake, as some say. However, after replacing the air filter, I found that when revving the saw up it would bog down. The old filter was NOT that dirty, and I've never changed any carburetor settings. The saw barely has 5 hours on it if I were to guess. But since I replaced the plug and fuel filter, AND found a cracked fuel line right where it went down into the tank, I wasn't sure what was causing it. The filter was exactly like the one I removed except for the filter material. My old one seemed to be of a cotton or felt like material. Washable. This new one was like a silkscreened one. Either way, it wouldn't rev up with the new filter. Glad I saved the old one and it was not in bad shape. Don't know what I'll do when it comes time to replace the filter for sure, but felt I needed to put this out there for others to decide for themselves.

I use this in my Husqvarna 455 Rancher every 6 months. Great value pack. Installs in under 10 minutes & have yet to adj the H or L carb settings. Have dropped around 300 pine trees in the last 2.5 years for a building site. Always keep 1-2 on hand. Fast & easy tune-up. Always keep spare chains on hand also. If your saw can’t go from idle to full throttle without bogging down or stalling then just use this kit & swap out everything.

This fit my old 455 like a dream. I have had this saw for 10+ years and have never changed the spark plug or fuel and air filters. This kit made it easy and can be installed in about 5 minutes.

I bought one of these kits around the time I purchased my saw and kept it on-hand just-in-case I needed a spare part. I finally a couple years later have now used that kit and replaced it with another spare from Amazon. It was very easy to install and naturally was a perfect fit as it is made by Husqvarna directly.I don't really need them to include the 2-stroke oil however since I buy that by the case and use it often.. Whatever though, it worked great!-Eric

My chain saw purrs again. Easier to replace than I had anticipated. Spark plug is evidently pre-gapped as I couldn't find my feeler gauge and installed the spark plug anyway. It started right up! Get this kit BEFORE you start playing with the fuel air mixture and idle adjustment. I finally got the carb adjusted correctly but it took another 20 minutes.

Could not find this kit at any local dealers. Great price for genuine Husqvarna parts.
