Install
The side awning is what I expected. Itโs nice but some small changes would make it nicer. The holes for the lag bolts to go through the lower mount need modified. I took a drill bit to open the holes up (The lag bolt head is to large to slip the the opening). The stand that holds the screen is a little janky. I mounted mine on a wood deck and the base plate is too small. All the force is be directed to a small 4โx4โ square and itโs splitting my deck board. I bought a 4โW X 6โL X 3/16โ thick plate, drilled holes and mounted that to my deck. I drilled holes to match the base plate bolt hole pattern, and attached using lag bolts through the plate to the deck wood. Seems much better now. Lol, Now that I know what to do for an easier install, would I buy again? Yes. P.S. Maybe they read the reviews and will make the mods themselves.

Not like the pictures
Installing it was easy, but when the screen is puled out and attached to the short pole it sags at the top because the bottom of the screen is held in place but the top flexes. I can see now why they have a guy holding the top straigt in the photos.

just very flimsy, thin sheet metal you can easily dent it with your hand.

Doesn't say that it's only good for concrete till you try to install it. We wanted it for our deck

Great for protection under the porch
This is really neat to keep leaves from blowing under the porch and hides things from sight. It was pretty easy to install but my husband is an excellent handyman. It is kinda strong with the spring loaded door but the kids wonโt get into things they shouldnโt.

Arrived damaged (pretty sure it was from shipping as box is damaged)
This is a complete block out shade, much like a blockout curtain for inside the house. I was expecting more "screen like" so wind would move through it. I am concerned that even with the screws and bolts they included this will pull out of my decking. There are NO INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS. If this does fail, ie pull out my wood. I I will be on line with AMAZON for restitution.
