Fit my 2012 Ram 1500
These 6x9s are the best bang for your buck. Iโve always loved CT sounds ever since I got my subwoofers from them. I originally had bought 4 of these bad boys to install in my Ram 1500, but of course they didnโt want to fit in the front due to the window motor regulator track and how big the magnet is. So I settled for some 6.5s from CT instead. Hated em. Returned them and gave the install in the front another shot. I absolutely LOVE these 6x9s they hit the bass notes and highs really well and Iโm not even fully powering them yet with my 4 channel (running at 75w RMS per speaker). These guys get LOUD but stay clear. Ive had my rear 6x9 Mesos for a few months now and I abuse them pretty bad but theyโre still going strong. Fun fact: These WILL fit in the front of the Ram 1500s but you WILL have to do some modifications to make it work. I had to cut out a bit of the window track and the plastic behind the door panel for the door due to the sheer size of the magnet. I included a picture for the fellas who want to try and make it work because I genuinely believe that itโs worth the effort. Just follow the hatched lines, thatโs where you need to cut to make them fit but BE SURE not to cut or get too close to the screw holding the regulator track onto the paneling. Also be sure to buy either two 1/4โ spacers or one 1/2โ spacer per side to secure them to the panel. Note though that your door panel will bulge out a bit but if you use the retaining clips for the door panel it will sit flush again. Be sure to buy the harnesses for these as well unless you donโt mind cutting off the factory harness. Overall if youโre hesitant to send it on these. Do it. These guys sound amazing and the price is unbeatable. Iโd take these over Skars all day.

High fidelity, higher power
I needed a premium 6x9 coaxial with REAL bass and power handling for my custom made Bluetooth portable speaker. THESE fit the bill perfectly. THE GOOD - bass, deep bass...produces down to 35 Hz with proper tuning - power handling with ease - extended "pro style" rim for the grill -- really like that - silk dome tweeters (not shrilly/metallic sounding like so many other 6x9 speakers) - real 1.5" copper voice coil - subwoofer style speaker binding posts (thank you, thank you, thank you!) THE NOT SO GOOD - massive magnet -- fitment issues for some - ugly AF speaker grills - no cutout template for cutting holes - cheap speaker wire - weight...really heavy - low SPL at 1 watt (91 dB) -- they are power suckerDowners THE SOUND - bass lovers will want these...these dig low and don't give up or bottom out easily - upper midrange is weak. Add in some EQ at around 2-3KHz and they balance out nicely - Slightly "rubbery" sounding compared to "light and airy" with so many other 6x9s - tweeter dispersion is too focused (directional) due to the grill design (needs to be wider opening, flaring) - audiophile level performance when tweaked - these crank without drama...really come alive with a powerful amplifier and EQ tweaks OVERALL - Entry level high performance audiophile speakers and 6x9 sized bass lovers wet dream. There are better 6x9 coaxials out there, but for $120 these will hang with the big boys all day long. Heavy duty in all aspects. If you need your system to go to "11" these will do it ABOUT ME - Been building speakers since 1979, decades of technical experience, professional music, and home audio experience. I am old and picky...glad I got these. Solid buy. They'll get the job done

Good bass in Ram 1500 back doors.
Good bass for a 6x9. I put these in the back doors of my 2020 Ram 1500 with factory head unit. I recommend buying the Ram connector adapters. I had a pair with the square connectors, so I clipped those off and stripped the wire since these speakers use spring terminals and want bare wire. They are too deep to fit in the front doors because the window track is there.

Look at that magnet!! These are loud, clear and affordable!
I have the Infinity Kappa 6x9's in one of my cars and my other car needed new 6x9's. I didn't want to spend another 220 bucks on the Kappas again, so I decided to give these a try based on the huge magnet and the price, which was 120 dollars cheaper than the Kappas. I've had them on my car for about a week now and I am really impressed with the sound quality on these! I think they have better bass than the kappa's, however the tweeters isn't as clear as the Infinity's, but for me at least, I don't mind at all. I was just looking to up the overall bass a bit, and this did the trick. UPDATE: So had these for about 3 weeks now and I have been putting them to the test everyday for my hour long commute to work. I found a Spotify playlist that has songs with a lot of bass and I blast it to about 80% of my head unit's output (any louder and my ears hurt). TO my surprise the speakers have zero distortion from the bass, and it rattles my car! All this without an amp! I decided to leave another review because I was blasting my music so loud, my front speakers (Not CT Sounds, but Kicker 6 inch) blew!!! I will be upgrading to the CT Sound 6 inch soon, and I think my simple plug and play sound system will be complete.

Reasonable build quality but didn't fit my needs
Tried these for a F150 upgrade but couldn't get them dsp tuned properly. I originally got them due to specs as I'm not installing a sub so I need my 6x9 to give me all the bass possible, however I'm unwilling to sacrifice sound quality. I'm currently using a Kicker Key200.4 with auto DSP and setup using the factory door speakers and they give me a decent sound. My A-pillar tweeters are SB Acoustics 50mm crossed at 1500hz. The magnet/motor structure is huge however but that creates 1 of 2 issues I ran into. Due to the very large magnet structure you will have to modify your mounting bracket. These will require at least 3/4 to 1 in to mount on a current generation F-150. I have a 1/2 thick custom HDPE mounts but the window bracket still hits the motor structure. The next issue I had was when running the automatic DSP I was unable to get a consistent sound profile. I was only able to obtain 2 general sound profiles. Either bass was very strong but it had high ear fatigue or no bass and overly compensated highs. I tried running dsp several times with a variety of XO options but I couldn't get it tuned properly. At initial install the sound quality was very muddy with no dsp but the stiff spider makes me think these need lots of dynamic break-in. And, to get the best sound quality out of these you will probably need customizable DSP. I suspect these have a lot of potential however I suspect for my situation i need a 6x9 driver that is designed as part of a component set. Since these are so cost effective I was hoping to make them work but they just won't work for a setup like mine. I'd love to support an American company that's based out of Texas but until they make a dedicated component setup I'll have to pass. It would be great to see these with 6x9 components using a wide band 2" tweeter XO in the 600-800hz range. That would broaden the sound stage, improve vocals and make DSP tuning a lot easier. These will probably work best in an older car until they come out with a comp option. Considering the 6x9 having similar cone area to a 8" the potential is there for folks who can't/won't do a dedicated sub. Some noteworthy items IMHO: -Comes w/; phillips screws. I'd love to see a company use a socket cap course thread screw. You'll have the same thread bite as the metal screw but the socket cap head won't strip and more importantly, the 8mm drive head won't jump out when you hit the door frame. I don't know how many forum pics I see of guys punching through their speaker because the screwdriver slipped. -Wiring is included, red/black wiring w/ tinned ends! -Grills for those with older cars and the driver is exposed. -Look at the pics above; Factory Ford, Infinity Ref 9630comps, CT Sounds. CT like most drivers use a stamped basket, however one thing that really stood out is they use a thick polymer mounting flange. This creates even and solid pressure all the way around the mounting base. Compared to the Infinity who's flange flexes when you screw it down, the CT mounts very solid and secure. -The last item of note is the spring loaded wiring clips. I prefer to solder my connections when I'm doing an install but this is handy during mock up.

Really nice tweeters, no complains about woofer.
This review is for use as a ceiling speaker in an RV, very different from typical car mounts. This speaker has received good reviews concerning bass response, there was really no appreciable improvement over the Pyle pieces of junk I upgraded from, most likely because of the small cavity behind the speaker in the RV ceiling simply doesn't allow for it. No biggie, I'll just get a subwoofer. I am however very pleased with the treble response. I don't care what anyone says, 2-ways with silk domes are always the best. I can listen to these all day at high levels without ear fatigue. Everything else I can easily EQ. I'm a sound technician of 20 years.
