Great Sensor
Does a great job of detecting if my door is open or not and alerts me promptly and the fact it also senses vibration and temperature comes in handy in a big way. Definitely recommend

These are amazing.
My first purchase of this device was for a dishwasher, with the intention of using both the humidity/temperature and the door sensors to determine if my "dumb" dishwasher had finished it's cycle. While the humidity/temperature didn't work as I hoped (neither changed noticeably during the cycle), the door sensor worked phenomenally, even though it wasn't perfect lined up. I've been adding door/window sensors around my house, and have gone through several other sensors at my front door, where there is an uneven gap between the door and the paneling around it. Another brand sort of worked - it had to sit sideways, and then it didn't have a good enough point to stick, so it fell off frequently (triggering false alarms on my Home Assistant automations that the door was open). Enter this device. You can see by the photo that it is not only some distance apart, but also not on the same physical plane. Doesn't matter. As you can see by the second photo, it's STILL showing as closed. Not only that, it's not awkwardly protruding at the door (the other that sorta worked tipped into the doors path occasionally) and it just WORKS. If you need a door/window sensor that can stretch across gaps, THIS is the only device you want to choose.

Ok, for monitoring Temperature
I truly love this sensor. Easy to set up and monitor. I do however have two issues, 1st, the battery life is short. Thankfully amazon batteries are reasonable. Secondly, in smartthings it shows up as two different sensors. The contact sensor, (which I’m not using) I have the sensor in my attic just to monitor yhe temperature. The icon insmartthings which is labeled as temp, shows items hasn’t updated yet. It never updates. So I leave this item in a room called Ghost. It would be nice if I didn’t have to open the contact icon to view the temperature. Otherwise this sensor is great. Just wished the battery would last longer. I’m still happy with my purchase It’s been a few years since I purchased this. The temperature works great, just have to click twice to the temp. And the sensor never updates, which tells me the manufacturer is not going to be making anymore of these. Firmware update would be nice. It should never show up as two different devices in Smartthings. Otherwise it a good sensor, very easy for Smartthings to find it on the hub network.

Works with screened casement window
I'd been wanting a window sensor for a while, to turn off the A/C if a window is opened. But all of the windows we're most likely to open are casement windows, with screens. I hesitated for a long time, unable to determine if any sensor would work for this use case. Based on another review that indicated this sensor works well with a large gap, I decided to give it a try. I am delighted to confirm that it works--at a right angle, and through a window screen. The first photo shows how I verified it would work before committing to the 3M adhesive; good old masking tape.

Works even when not perfectly aligned
I have quite a few of these and in some cases, I cant alight the two ends together perfectly, yet the magnet inside is strong enough that they don't have to be near-touching to sense that the door/window is closed.

Great sensor for automation
Great sensor for automation with SmartThings. You can use it to sense vibration, so when someone is knocking on the door you can be alerted. Easy to setup and use with Home Assistant and SmartThings. Battery life is not so good, after 3 months it is at 50% battery life.

When they work, they're great.
Purchased six of these for my home automation needs. They all worked flawlessly...for a few months. Then one by one they started going quiet. I noticed the first one when my laundry room lights automation quit working. Turns out the door sensor had not reported anything for a couple of days, but the last reported battery percentage was 65%. I tried reconnecting the sensor but it would not connect. Bought a replacement, and it worked fine. Then a few weeks later another one did the same thing. Replaced it with a different brand sensor. Then I decided to dig into the rest of the sensors and found that two more had not reported for several days. All of them reporting good battery life at time of death. I love the idea of having several sensors in one, but it's useless if they won't stay connected. Sucks that I wasted $250 on these. Learn from my mistakes. Using the Aqara P2 matter sensors now. So far, so good with those.

Requiere repetidor
Los dispositivos de baterías no repiten la señal, deberían ser más claros en eso
