Shadows of Brimstone: Frontier Town Expansion

This is a fun expansion for Shadows of Brimstone. Well worth getting this one.

Love this for the wild west campaigns, if you're playing the Swamps of Death or City of Ancients core set. It does make each session take longer, since you could easily spend another hour+ just in town between adventures. There's a lot more equipment and services to spend money on. There's also some actual adventures to go on here located in town rather than returning to the mines. If you buy them together, I'd suggest playing without this for the first couple adventures to make it easier to learn the base game before tacking this one on. Also, something that confused me at first ... this expansion adds daily town events that are drawn at the start of every day, which is IN ADDITION TO to the chance for the core-rules town event that might happen at the end of each day.

A wonderful expansion for S.O.B. Really makes the going back to town part of the game an adventure in itself with extra locations to visit, items to buy and (often hilarious) things to do. Very strong wild west-theme with shootouts, bank robberies, jail-breaks etc. The quality of the componants is, as usual for the publishers..excellent....you do not even need to assemble the miniatures other than glue them to the bases...which was.the only bad thing about the core games and other expansions. A must buy for anybody who owns the core game.

While I liked this at first, ultimately I felt that expanding the town phase extended the game's already long length uncomfortably long.

I like that they have variety of town situations that you could be put into. Plus the amount of rewards. You can also still pick the standard town set up! So it gives you everything that you could possibly want. It’s more adventures to go on with your characters while advancing them.

A must have for fans of Shadows of Brimstone! Very meaty expansion that adds 6 much needed ranged enemies plus a complete overhaul (for the better) of the town phase of the game.

If you like adding complexity and flavor to your games like I do this is a must buy. If you want to keep it simple or don't want to add extra time then this is not for you.

Helps with replayability. Too bad it does not include container for tokens.
