Clicking the button opens it right up. Clicking again closes it, but you have to push down really hard to get it back to travel size. I pushed it agaisnt the floor, and it worked. The “cover” that is on the umbrella is hard to put back on after using it, so it’s not really worth it to have the cover. It’s as expected and good value for the price.

I used this umbrella in Walt Disney World for 7 days and it was great! We arrived in Florida 3 days before Hurricane Nicole in November (2022) and experienced heavy rain and wind for 2 of those days, then lots of sun for the rest of the trip. This umbrella was blown backwards several times and was drenched for 2 days, then baked in the sun for 5 days and it held up great. I stored it in my park bag when not in use and it even fit in my smaller Loungefly mini backpack. It worked great in the sun, we waited about 20ish minutes for the afternoon parade in Magic Kingdom in full sun and I would not have made it without this umbrella. great travel accessory. The only negative was that the wrist strap pulled out after 4 days.

I've only used the umbrella once, but I'm happy with the results. It's well made, sturdy and I'd imagine that the additional inside layer will provide more protection and less leaking like some umbrellas do in heavy rain. It opens and closes smoothly with a Velcro tie to hold it closed after drying. It's big enough to provide coverage, but small enough that I can tuck it in the side door of my car, center console, in my purse, my kid's backpack or hang it on my coat rack. The inside is vibrant, which for those who suffer from the gray days of winter, is helpful, giving a boost color and brightness to your day. Definitely worth every penny and better made than many I've seen for a lot more money.
