In November and December of 2012, Megadeth blazed hot on the band s 'Countdown to Extinction 20th Anniversary Tour,' ripping through their entire double platinum 1992 album from start to finish before performing other classics from their recorded catalog. Recorded and filmed at Los Angeles' Fox Theatre last December, Countdown to Extinction: Live is a definitive document of the acclaimed, sold-out tour.In addition to Megadeth's blistering performance of the entire Countdown to Extinction album, including the essential 'Symphony Of Destruction,' 'Foreclosure Of A Dream,' 'Sweating Bullets,' and 'Skin O' My Teeth,' Countdown to Extinction: Live features all of the other Megadeth classics the band performed at the epic concert, including 'Holy Wars' and 'Hangar 18' from 1990's Rust in Peace, 'Peace Sells' from the band's influential, platinum certified 1986 album, Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?, and 'Trust' from 1997's platinum certified Cryptic Writings.Setlist:1. Trust2. Hangar 183. Public Enemy4. Skin O' My Teeth5. Symphony of Destruction6. Architecture of Aggression7. Holy Wars...The Punishment Due Review: Megashow!! 10+ - Great show. I really enjoyed the film image being presented along with the show itself. Mustain and the boyz really tear it up and I also really liked the song selection. I think Shawn Drover kicks serious butt. He is simple but quite accurate and interesting being a lefty playing open handed. Chris Broderick on guitar is probably the best that Mustain might ever end up with for hire. The guy has a master's degree in classical performance. Chris reminds me as far as playing style goes what it was like when I saw Randy Rhoads as he rips through scale patterns with great accuracy and melody not to mention his dexterity. It's powerful and to me better than the original. This was a good night. I like the setting here better than the Big-4 shows. The dry ice, the song selection, this DVD has very good sound quality too. I cranked it!! 10+ Review: 100% Megadeth 🤘🏻😝 - This concert is one of their best , a very raw stripped down show ! You can tell the band are really enjoying themselves & playing the entire album of CTE is history in the making . The audience participation in this is really good ! This is 100% Megadeth 🤘🏻😝

A lot of fun!
This was so fun. I love that it sounds different than the album, that’s what a live show should be. Dave has such a low growls voice, which makes sense, he is older now than when they created the album. Really cool to see this. Also was a fan of the rust in peace concert. Now bring out a peace sells concert!!!

Could be a little better
Megadeth! is great, this one not as good as "That One Night - Live in Buenos Aires" I can see why some of the other reviews said about the sound and video, but still a good DVD. Has a couple songs I haven't seen live before.

This is a must have!!!!!
Awe man, what a great job on the bands part and also to the crew who where involved in this recording. Dave Mustaine is great live. And I love the new guitarist. He is amazing. This is a must have in the live dvd and cd collection for my Megadeth. 10 thumbs up from me!!!!

I delayed buying this due to some of the negative reviews citing "muddy sound". They've detuned a half step to suit Daves voice as he gets older. If they hadn't and his voice was bad, they'd have come in for worse criticism. FYI GnR and Slayer downtune the majority of their songs a half step and always have. This is awesome for any Megadeth fan. I actually think the sound is well mixed (listening through good equipment and headphones).
