Simple-Lock Air Vent Holder Universal 16mm Ball Mount for Tomtom VIA GO Start Comfort Supreme 4.3" 5" 6" Screen GPS Sat Nav

Works perfectly with my TomTom VIA 1605. Fits the vent on my Chevy 2007 Pickup great and holds the unit rock solid and allows for adjusting to the correct angle for viewing. That said I really wanted for my Prius but it will not mount to the vent without modification. It lacks about 1" inch of length on the metal band that hooks on the vent vane in the Prius (and probably other Toyotas). I removed the spring slide and then it had enough length to grab the main vent vane but needed a large paper clip to hold it from coming off the vane. Very good mount for TomTom via, could be outstanding if the vent clip was just an inch longer.

Terrific item. It works well and locks onto vent fins easily and holds snug. I no longer have to use those suction cups on windows that degrade over time due to sunlight damage/drying and the window rings they leave. The only reason I'm not giving this a five star is because I want to wait at least one year to see if the quality holds up.

You can actually fit the ball in the gps navigation device but it's loose and won't hold firmly. So , if you manage to orient your device in a way that you can see the screen adequately. Then could be a keeper. But in my case I'll look for another option. Other than that seems to be well constructed. Although it needs a few years in the Texas summer to really tell..

This is the best gps mount I have found. I have purchased quite a few of holders and they did not work for me. This holds the gps tightly and you do not have to worry about it falling down. The holder is great; one has to to be sure you squeeze the tab all the way to remove. Once it is on the vent, it is on the vent. I do not want or like my gps to be on the windshield because it is not easy to reach. With the gps being on the vent it is easy to reach. A keeper for me. Also had a few people that were riding with me ask me about it.

Works perfectly with my TomTom Via 1535. The only reasons that I reduced the rating is 1) the directions leave MUCH to be desired (if it weren't for the pictures on Amazon, I would not have figured it out); 2) there is NO power connection to the unit as stated by one of the reviewers; 3) the ball is very difficult to get mounted into the socket of the TomTom . . . but it WILL eventually force in; 4) it connected to the vent in my 2008 Kia Optima so well that it was difficult to take it out to move it to another vent; and 5) I was never able to get my computer to find the free memory stick, so it was a waste. All in all, it is doing a great job and has eliminated the problem I had of sitting the GPS in the ashtray in order to keep out the glare. I would recommend this unit very highly.

It works, but the holder part is really long and comes a bit close to the steering wheel on my Prius, and blocks the controls a little. It also jiggles a bit when I touch it to operate it. I do like the way that it clips onto the vent. It's ok . . . wish they made a simpler, shorter one with a ball socket like they have for the Garmin Nuvi

I am a firm believer in the concept of vent mounts for GPS. In the past I bought some from another site that was cheaper but they always messed up usually by falling off every time I bumped it. I have bumped this one many times and it has never fallen off. It keeps my GPS out of my field of view of the road. A particularly useful design is the vent mount itself which works with either horizontal or vertical vents. Another feature I like is that the power cable connects to the mount so once the GPS is mounted, it automatically is connected to the power. Having had lots of experience with vent mounts, this is the only one that is perfect in every way.

Well made,easy to follow steps to get the sucker attachment off{Lay the tomtom screen, face down, nr the edge ,on the kitchen work top turn the sucker cup till its side ways,and the ball attachments ball removal marks are visible,hold and move the sucker down till it pops out the ball attachment,reverse this to install the new ball attachment}could have had better pictures,but you can view on youtube.Im certain it will fit any car /van/lorry as the fitting even fits air vents that are angled....\ or | or / it has a ball and socket joint to alter the angle of the screen,and an extra rotation joint to rotate the screen to have it portrait or landscape .Also comes with a free memory card reader/writer.The airvent attachment is on a spring so it will fit any thickness/length of vent fin.The whole thing is well thought out and allows you to to put the tomtom in a place that doesnt block or hinder your view,i recommend it in the center dashboard vent.

Fit my car perfectly. Seems well made. Holds the largest TomTom. Happy after buying two others that needed to be returned for refund.

Die Halterung ist sehr einfach anzubringen, sehr stabil im Material und der Verarbeitung, daher sitzt es auch richtig gut und fest. Absolut empfehlenswert, und gegenüber den original Halterungen dieser art noch ein paar Euro günstiger. Ideal für alle die das Navi nicht unmittelbar im Sichtfeld an der Frontscheibe haben wollen und vor allem die Schmierränder der Saugnapfhalterungen nicht mögen.

Die Lüftungsschlitze meines Autos sind wohl zu eng für den Halter. Ich habe durch Zufall festgekriegt, kann ihn aber nicht meherdeckt r lsen, da alles zu eng. Ausserdem verdeckt der Halteapparat plus TomTom-Gerät das daruher hatte ich einen Halter mit zwei Federn, die in Luftschlitze eingeschoben wurden. Und ausserdem blendet das Sonnenlicht, weil ich den Routenplaner nicht ganz einfach einstellen kann. Gesamturteil unasugegoren.

Fiddly to fit the satnav onto the device and also to get the holder in and out of the vents. Once in place, however, it works well.
