Samsung 9500S Rear Speaker Kit - Wireless Dolby Atmos/DTS: X (SWA-9500S, 2021 Model), Black

This SWA-9500S rear speaker kit is a must-have for anyone rocking a Samsung Q800, Q700, or Q600 soundbar! If your soundbar starts with a "Q" and ends with an "A," "B," "C," or "D" (like my Q800D!), you're good to go – it's compatible with all 2021 and newer Q-series soundbars. My Q800D soundbar is fantastic on its own, especially with the Q-Symphony feature on my Samsung TV. Q-Symphony really broadens the soundstage, particularly for the center channel. However, as a true cinema buff , however,I always felt like something was missing. The SWA-9500S speakers completely filled that gap! 🎉 Now, all the sounds that should be coming from behind me are actually there! My Q800D already has two up-firing speakers, and the SWA-9500S adds another two! This makes the height effects so much more convincing. They're not quite as good as dedicated ceiling speakers, but they make a huge difference. This is an amazing product, but setup is key! I've seen lots of comments about enabling the "Group Sound" feature. Personally, I prefer it off. My guess is that "Group Sound" is better suited for music listening, not movies. Rear speakers aren't meant to be constantly loud; you should only really notice them during Atmos content when there are sounds specifically designed for the rear channels. That's why they're called rear speakers! 😉 To really maximize the rear sound, I turned down the volume of all the soundbar channels in the SmartThings app and cranked up the volume on the rear speakers and rear front speakers almost to the max. This made a world of difference! The setup was incredibly easy. I just plugged in the speakers, turned on my soundbar, pressed the "up" button on the wheel until "ID Set" was enabled, and boom! They connected automatically! ✨ So, if you have a compatible Samsung soundbar and you're a big fan of Atmos movies, you need these speakers. They're totally worth the investment!

I bought these because I've been wanting them ever since I got my q800b but never found the means to buy them and figure out how I'm going to wall mount them. Well I finally got around to purchasing these and setting them up and they sound awesome. My soundbar was already awesome by itself but these just take it to the next level. Very immersive and room filling. Despite having them really high up and not ear level they do fill my small room enough that it still sounds level and not above me and doesn't mess with the audio quality too much. I recommend you purchase these if you want something more out of your soundbar with even more room filling audio and a more immersive experience.

I really wanted to complete the home theater set in my living room with these rear speakers since I already have Samsung TV, soundbar & woofer. For reference, the TV was Q60A, soundbar was Q700A, and rear speakers are 9500s. The connection was extremely easy. Items in the box: 2 speakers and two power cords. No connection cord between two speakers is needed. I simply followed the instructions by turning on the ID setting on the soundbar and boom, the two speakers were connected. At first the volume of the speakers sounded low, I couldn't find a way to adjust them unfortunately. For some reason I couldn't find them on the SmarThings App. But later I realized it really depends on the audio source (has to be 5.1 Dolby Atmos I think) and the soundbar mode. Make sure you set it as eArc Surround. I tested Netflix movies and video games. What comes out of the rear speakers and the volume of it really depends on the audio source. And it does create a surrounding spatial experience. However, given the price of these speakers and how much difference it made on top of the soundbar, I would think the soundbar itself is sufficient enough. But I do enjoy the premium experience so I'm gonna keep them. UPDATE SAME DAY OF THE REVIEW I found out how to control the rear speakers volume and it’s amazing how everything works together now. I can hear clearly from these two rear speakers. Even normal YouTube video or talk shows. I didn’t connect them to smart things app. they’re controlled by the soundbar using the soundbar remote. Press the gear button on the remote, scroll through until Rear Level, wait for the texts scrolling completely, a number will show up. Then press up button (not push up the volume up, but the up button on the wheel) to increase the volume. Thanks whoever posted in the review section originally!

I purchased these rear speakers as part of a bundle with the following sound bar. SAMSUNG HW-B550/ZA 2.1ch Soundbar w/Dolby Audio, DTS Virtual:X, Bass Boosted, Subwoofer Included, Adaptive Sound Lite, Bluetooth Multi Device Connection, Wireless Surround Compatible, 2022,Black The subwoofer that came with the sound bar paired with no issues but the rear speakers would not pair. I went through all the troubleshooting steps and videos I could find, and could not get them to pair. Also, I went through all the steps to reset the sound bar and was able to unpaired the subwoofer and get the subwoofer to pair up again. But I cannot get the rear speakers to pair. The reason we purchased these items is for convenience not to have to struggle to make the connections. I don’t want to spend hours on the phone with the helpdesk person just to get speakers to pair. That is why we purchased these items for the convenience of not having to deal with tech-support. Very disappointed. I guess I’ll stick with Sony as their Dolby Atmos systems tend to work with no issues for me. Returning the speakers for a refund. If Amazon advertises a bundle, they should make sure that the devices should be able to pair without any issues.

they are.. alright if you use them in a nearfield surround, they don’t get loud but it’s adequate for a small-medium sized bedroom, the audio is pretty clear. it’s compatible with the samsung b-620f paired with no issues, on the other hand are built very well and are very durable. surround effects are also not too aggressive but also not overly present,

I have the Q600F. First you have to update the firnware of your soundbar to ensure no issues. The pairing was very straight forward and had no issues. These rear speakers really transformed my Q600F. Really a must have upgrade. Movies are now amazing to watch and the sound experience is just amazing. The build quality of the speakers are exceptional and they are really solid, heavy and well build. I'm very very very happy with my purchase and now more than happy with my soundbar setup.

I have an Samsung 800f soundbar and was somewhat disappointed and was considering the 990D which has been on sale recently. Wasn't sure if I should dish out more or get the 990D. Well just hooked up these 9500s and found that they made a huge difference. Definitely more better experience watching movies. Set up straight forward with no issues, basically plug and play. Going to keep the 800f!

Got these speakers from the seller Walts TV here on Amazon. They were listed as Used - Mint and I actually received a brand new set of speakers! They connected instantly to my HW-B630F Samsung Soundbar and completed my home theater set up in my living room! They sound awesome and provide a room-filling sound that is truly cinematic, especially when watching content with DTS: X tracks! Great deal for a high quality product! I’m super satisfied. They work exactly as rear surround speakers should.
