Kaweco quality. Love it when the patina begins to set in. Good fit and finish. Love it more with a vintage pocket clip.

These are great compact ball point pens. I carry mine in my pants pocket and it sits nicely flat along the bottom seam. You can buy a pocket clip for the pen if you want to carry it in a more normal vertical orientation. It uses easily available refills.

I picked this up because I got tired of people freaking out when I handed them my fountain pen. I didn't want to give up on the lovely writing experience, but I also didn't want to carry more than one pen. 🤩 Pros - Writes buttery smooth. The best thing short of a fountain pen that I've found. - Not as compact as a space pen, but much nicer in the hand and infinitely smoother. - Screw cap threads off very quickly, which is handy for an EDC pen. - Takes the ubiquitously available Parker-style refills, which means lots of good options like Schmidt. 😖 Cons - Seriously over-priced, IMHO. I paid $30 USD. It feels more like a ten dollar piece. - Feels light. I prefer a little more weight when writing (but I don't really want to pay for the brass model). - The pen was in a thin plastic sleeve, tossed loosed into the shipping box with a much larger and heavier item 😒

--- The Pen --- I have a Kaweco Sport fountain pen that I really like, so I wanted to add their ballpoint version to my collection. I am no pen expert, but this is nice to write and I like that I can break down into my pocket for an easy to carry group of EDC items. Good office pen that I keep close, but wouldn't torture myself if it got lost or broken. --- The Seller --- The item was expected to come, brand new, in the box. Others have made reviews of this being the case, but for some reason, mine came in a plastic bag, with what looks to be an oxidized tip and no gold pocket clip. There are no noticeable scratches or wear on it to think it was used and returned previously. This is pretty disappointing. Again, nothing to torture myself over, but paying $20 for a pen, I at least expect it to be complete. It does write, albeit I am not certain for how long this refill will last, but I will keep it for now. If it goes bad or I notice any issues, I will update my review and request a refund for fraud of condition.

I need a ballpoint pen in my pocket for my normal workday. I was using a brass pen from Big Idea Design which I really like but it just hasn’t stood up to a year’s normal usage which was surprising. I had to fall back on this Kaweco Sport and I’m very happy with it so far. I only need a ballpoint occasionally throughout the day. Mostly I use my Kaweco Sport fountain pen. This rollerball does the trick when I need it. I even put in a refill of my choice and just used a spacer to make it fit.

I love this concept. As small as it can be and still take a Parker G2 type refill, which opens it up to countless ballpoint, gel, hybrid refills. Yet when posted, it's absolutely large enough to write at length in comfort. Superb. Note that the black plastic is very light and the brass is quite heavy. If weight is important to you, choose carefully from the wide variety of materials.

The perfect travel pen! I also have the same in fountain pen and the now out of production roller tip that used International Short cartridges. All write like a more expensive pen. Since I use them to journal when I am travelling the low cost makes it OK if I lose or misplace them.
