Essential Book for Class
As a second year dental hygiene student, I found this book really helpful for my Pain Control class. I loved the end of chapter review questions, but I didn’t like that I could not find the answers in the back of the book or anywhere else. I had to resort to quizlet but of course people can be wrong and questions didn’t always match (I could tell earlier editions worded the questions or answer choices slightly different so I couldn’t even command + F through a set)

Not mint condition
This book is usable but far from mint condition. Something was spilled on it that goes all the way through from cover to cover. Many pages stick together but separate without damage. Believe it or not I don’t even mind any of that. What I do mind is the smell. It smells disgusting like some mixture of sour milk and chemicals. I gave it 2 stars because it is in fact usable but very unpleasant to be reading it since it’s right under my nose. 🤮

Book is fine, class is tough
Dental hygiene school is TOUGH and for me personally Pain Management (what this book is used for) was the hardest class of my college career thus far. This book is laid out well and the text boxes help further explain things. Chapter 8 is by far the most important thing in the entire book
