Photo Explosion Deluxe 5.0

When Nova Development sold their excellent PhotoImpact Pro software to Corel for them to disassemble & trash, I started waiting for Nova to come up with another photo-editing program to take its place. Well, Photo Explosion Deluxe doesn't even come near to Impact Pro's quality, but it's still a great program for changing, fixing, & improving your library of pictures. It has a super-easy to use interface with a very low learning curve. You'll be surprising your friends and impressing your relatives with all the fun, cool things you can do to your photographs. It's not a feature-rich editor, but it supplies enough variety to accomplish most tasks in minimal time. I miss having a built-in ruler to help with some projects, and having some preset sizes in inches for new, blank canvases would have been nice. However, I got the program at only $20, so it's a major bargain at that price! My only worry is how long it'll be before Nova gives up on Photo Explosion and sells it out to Corel. It's hard to trust a company that does not value their customers. With all that said, I still recommend Photo Explosion Deluxe for the novice & experienced editors alike. It's a great alternative to bulky, over-blown editing software, plus it doesn't kill your savings account.

The program is difficult to navigate. The only way I could enter an image to edit was via the date search. I edited an image, saved it and the program closed completely! I had the same result after two more lengthy attempts. I sent an email to the help line and received no response after 3 days. Needless to say this program is useless.

I HAVE USED EXPLOSION FOR YEARS, Some reviews on this product almost drove me away, but decided to give it a try. Remember Amazons liberal return policy. Because of that policy it nullified the bad reviews. So far I have had no problem. A couple of times it has frozen up and had to be restarted. I can accept that so I give it a 5 star rating.

Slightly buggy, will shut down (not all the time) in the middle of work. Create a new photo function doesnt have a photo size, instead just pixel size. No ruler guide for easy editing. Layering is cumbersome though efficient when done. Cutting an image out based on outline is very tedious. Good product, lots of room to improve. PE has earlier versions that functioned much better

I purchased it for a friend and they say very good. They had it on another computer a while back and needed it again after the older computer died. It will work on Windows 10.

I am missing the instruction book that should have been included in my purchase of Photo Explosion Deluxe; it wasn't in the box with the program. I have been trying for the last 15 to 20 minutes to get help through your automated service and I am getting nowhere.

I have waited along time to purchase an editing program for my computer as I usually use the free sites like Google photo an Chimp to edit photos an create video's. I was super excited to recieve this based on the description however upon install I soon realized it does not allow you to "create" video's and there is definitely not thousands of editing features. It is about as basic as the free online ones and much harder to navigate. Requesting refund an will continue to search for another disk application that has at least 100 features and video creation options. Very very disappointed do not recommend.

I had Photo Explosion 3 and loved it. Had Windows 10 installed on my computer and it wasn't compatible. Explosion Deluxe 5.0 is although it does not say that in the instruction manual. Recently ordered Coral Paintshop and it came with nothing but a disc. No instruction manual. Could not understand the program so i returned that and ordered the Photo Explosion- MUCH better
