After a fluke lottery win, Karen Donaldson - the ward charity case - is determined to use her millions to pay back all the kindness she's received. But the future holds a few more surprises for Karen, her neighbors, and someone she thought was gone forever. Sweet, funny, and full of heart, this off-beat comedy is perfect for anyone who's ever dreamed of making it big. Review: This is such a great book! - I really like this story! There is hope, conflict, heroes and heroines , trust, love, and a lot of other parts to this story! Review: Worth reading! - Susan Corpany has done it again! I expected a pleasant book that would be enjoyable reading just like her previous books. Lucky Change was entertaining, and more. The characters are clever but their interactions allow the reader to do some self-reflection: How do I treat others? Do I feel superior? Am I always kind? Do I forgive quickly? I read this book a few days ago and find myself recalling several passages that made serious points about relationships we have with others. I hadn't expected the story to stay with me but it has. This is definitely a book to keep and reread.

Lucky Change makes for a Luckly Book
By the end of the first chapter I was laughing. The story primarily centers around a plainspoken but well-intentioned Mormon lady who inadvertantly wins the lottery. The book follows her interactions with the kinds of characters you find in every Mormon congregation, in law firms, in neighborhoods, in real families. I found the novel warm, funny, sincere and thoughtful. Loving, yet realistic, the book reminded me of people I've known and work situations I've experienced (particularly in the law firm).

Best one yet.
I had the privilege of reading an early draft of this book. I was a "Karen" in more than one ward that I've lived in. The author treats her characters with respect and affection. Karen reminds me to look inside for any lingering bitterness or grudges and put them out on the curb where they belong.

Surprising little gem!
What a surprising little gem this was! I don't normally read LDS comedy, but this was thought-provoking, humorous, and utterly charming. I'm really looking forward to reading everything she has written. :)
