Very great reed choice.
Best reed I’ve ever tried on the alto, it pairs well with my Meyer mouthpiece at the strength of 2.25. Very full tone, dark but centered sound, fast response and control, and all the notes especially the low notes speak well!.

Great reed!
I am 56 and have a 1938 Selmer Paris Alto that I have played off and on since I was a kid. I always used cane reeds. I recently started playing a lot again after a good 10 years or so away. I got Java 2.5 reeds - two boxes, because why not? As usual some of the reeds were great and some not so much. After reading about Legere Signature I decided to try one. So far I really like it a lot! I will probably be getting one or two more to start rotating them in my playing so they last longer. But at this point I intend to make it my goto reed. The only complaint I have is the packaging (hence the 4 stars). It came in a flimsy plastic shipping envelope and the reed package was loose/open and the reed was out of its slots. Seller - ship these things in small boxes! Legere - start including a plastic reed enclosure like most other reed brands. $30+ is a lot to spend on one reed which would be damaged in shipping and normal usage without the plastic keeper case. Overall though I think I found my answer to wasting time fiddling around with reeds - Legere Signature. I play the Java 2.5 as I mentioned and my Legere Signature 2.25 is really close to that. Really glad I got one and plays great! Thank you Legere!

PRODUCT REVIEW
These reeds are the it! I've used them for my tenor saxophone and now with the alto. I'm very satisfied with my performance.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS REED
Yes it’s one singular reed! But it sounds and plays amazing! I was skeptical at first but I had a friend who was a senior play with this and she loved it!. So I had to buy one my self.

Fantastic!
These Legere synthetic reeds are fantastic. Consistent sound and playability. Signature series seem to work the best for me. No more wooden reeds!

Plastic reeds
Bought for my husband who is a woodwind player. Very old school but loves these so much he gives them to his colleagues.

Do the Synthetic Reeds Live up to Expectations and costs??
These are a great idea! The info generally on these is that they work well and last for months. They are expensive (mine was $34) but because they sound good and last a long time this should save you money - especially in the long run. I ordered one reed - the Signature , 2.25. I was very satisfied at first, the texture is different then the Cain reeds, but it's not unpleasant and it was good to not need to pre-soak the reed to use it! I haven't played the saxophone long enough to actually sound good - YET, but it sounded as good or better than my usual playing. So what's to not like ENOUGH not to give it a 4 or 5 star review? The first time I practiced with it was good, about an hour long and when finished I took off the reed, rinsed it under fresh water and wiped it off with a clean soft cloth before I inspected it and put it back in it's case. The next day I did the same, maybe an hour and a half of practice. But this time, when I went to rinse it off I noticed it was split on the edge. Actual 2 splits, the larger one was nearly a half an inch long while the other was shorter. It didn't last long to justify the money it cost, yet in the reviews people said they lasted for months. There were no teeth marks or other reasons that I could attribute damage to, It just didn't last. I'm disappointed that it didn't because I was happy to get it and I thought to myself $34 was a lot to spend but it'll be cheaper in the long run. So much for my high hopes! I guess the odds work against you from time to time, but i plan to purchase another one down the road because everyone deserves a second chance.

Bestes Kunststoffblatt

Amazing reed
Legere is the best reed I have tried not only because of the good sound, articulations, durability, intonation and best of all, always ready to play regardless of the room temperature, humidity and other factors but also they have an amazing customer service and with a great return/exanchange policy.

Me gusto mucho
