This is a spice blend that allows you to add nothing else to your food and still get a tasty dish! This is my 2nd time to order this spice as I didn't want to run out. I first saw it on Facebook with a private chef in Beverly Hills, and now I use it on every grilled or roasted protein or vegetable.

NO flavor! Total fail! There should be a law against such fraud.!

Grrat addition to doshes, a little high in salt but flavor is on point. Small bag but you don't need a whole lot of it to get flavor.

This spice mix is mostly salt. There are two mushroom powders (shiitake and porcini) so it smells great but salt is the first ingredient. My fault for not reading the label the way I would have in the store.

Vegan looking for umami, use a lot of Yondu and Takii mushroom salt. My mistake, this is rub. May be vegan, and I suppose on tofu or tempeh, probably work. But this is more of a dry salt rub . . . not really a umami seasoning, in my opinion. Dry salt rubs are a different breed of seasoning. The is a RUB, not a seasoning, and the salt isn't like a mushroom salt: this is much saltier than Yondu or the Takii mushroom salt that I use a lot of. Both of those are heavy in sodium . . . but they flavor differently. Again, this is more of a rub, a salt based rub. Disappointing, but my bad. Fell for the pretty package, didn't read the label. Not bad, just more salt than seasoning umami.
