Amazing Backpack.....Please add more features to make it better
The pack was great. I was in the ocean for hours at the public beach in Goa with all my gear in the backpack. I had my Blu-tooth speaker blasting music while we all enjoyed hanging out stress free without having to worry about keeping an eye on all my stuff if I had to leave it on the beach. No leaving anyone behind to watch-over our stuff. So aside from keeping all my stuff dry, it also acts like a flotation device (body weight is a factor - it may not work for you). In your future models, Please include: 1: A cellphone pocket on the upper part of the shoulder strap. Doesn't have to be water proof, but it needs to be big enough to fit a smartphone with a waterproof case on it. This way its not submerged and I can be hands free. 2: loops on the pack or straps for Carabiners to connect to it. This way I can strap my water bottle, or other items to it easily (or anchor it with something else so it can float and not get carried away by the waves). 3: More pockets. Inside and outside. Just helps me to organize my stuff for easier access instead of digging thru everything to find something small in the bottom. (a divider inside could work almost as well - make the divider removable with velcro) 4: A center-body strap. When I was in the ocean with the bag, every time a wave came by the pack would rise with the water while I stayed planted. A center-body strap would have prevented that from happening and kept the pack on me more securely. 5: The main port of the bag, from my understanding is two pieces of plastic or paper or whatever. Why not make them magnetically seal together? or velcro, zipper, buttons, etc? I'm sure you had reasons behind it and I know it doesn't require it for the waterproofing. Just a suggestion. Thank you for a great product!

Very comfortable waterproof backpack, and it is indeed waterproof!
For starters, I think I looked at every waterproof bag on Amazon before selecting this one, and I am not disappointed. I love this bag for what it is, a great waterproof backpack. It's hard to find a waterproof bag in this size that is also a backpack...most of them just have one strap to wear across your body. It is very comfortable to wear and holds a lot. I like the water bottle pockets on both sides (thank you for providing two!). The front pocket is also nice for easy access to items that don't necessarily need to be protected (like a lip balm, pack of gum, etc). It is easy to roll and seal and it is indeed waterproof. As with all waterproof bags like these, everything does sink to the bottom and it can be hard to locate items. It's the nature of the beast. I recommend putting things in smaller bags just to help find what you're looking for. I have small makeup bags that I used. I know my keys and wallet were in one little bag, and other smaller items were in another. I do wish this came in other colors, but I do like this grey color as well. I want to get some for other family members and it would be handy if we all had a different color. All in all, this is very comfortable to wear as a backpack, it holds a lot, and it is waterproof. I will be buying more.

What makes this great is that it is one of the BEST designed ...
What makes this great is that it is one of the BEST designed dry bags that have shoulder straps. This actually looks and "wears" like a backpack, but loads and functions as a dry bag. 30L is the perfect daypack size, or for ultralight, multi-day backpacking in the tropics. The material is thick and fairly heavy, so it appears durable, a fair trade for the weight. My advice is to buy this ONLY if you need a dry bag for an extended period of time and want to keep your hands free. It is way too heavy, bulky and expensive of an option to use as 'just' a dry bag, and it would be very disappointing to someone looking for "just" a backpack; but, combine the two, and this is the PERFECT niche product!

improvement
i think this is a good bag but have not put it into used yet. i will use it for fishing in Alaska. that includes wearing it in deep streams while wading, and tossing it in a boat on saltwater. what i noticed with most of the "less expensive" drybags is that the bottom does not seem very durable to scrapes, tears, and wear. so i decided to cover mine with another layer as i know i will "toss" it around some. i used Gorilla patch tape. it is very thick, 4" wide and has a very strong adhesive. it is waterproof. from the pics you have seen what it did. it does not look pretty but the bottom of the bag will take some abuse before leaking for sure. i tested the bag for a few days, 1/2 of it being submerged as it may when i am standing in a river chest deep fishing. it did not leak at all. just wanted to share this. the tape would work with any dry bag for an extra layer of protection. you may be able to do a much prettier job of application than me. but i am happy with my bag, it will do the job and i am not that concerned about looks. i hope the strap attachments hold out!

Great Bag for Jet Skiing and Boating
Bought 2 of these bags, one for me and a buddy to go jet skiing in Lake Havasu. I am talking stand up skis where you are always in the water and these bags did great! Fit one oversize beach towel, gopro equipment, wallet, cell water and some food and some extra clothes. No problem! The bag really fits a lot because it is one large compartment. Perfect size to fit enough but not overly bulky. Not a single leak this bag, kept everything dry all day after days of use. The outside of the bag gets dirty and you just hose it off tough durable material. I will be buying more of these rugged bags for some of my friends.

Well made
Great book bag. No doubt it'd keep the water out. However, I don't get it wet very often, I usually creek walk and camp so I duct taped the bottom for protection from sand and rocks and added stickers 😄 I know once it's good and wet, the stickers and tape may not last forever but I think it makes it look pretty cool for now.

Great, Affordable Bag with EVEN BETTER Warranty
I bought this backpack in July, and used it while kayaking in the ocean. Unfortunately, our kayak had a hole in it, and we capsized MULTIPLE times. Throughout the entire journey, all of our valuables were safe and secure in this bag. It was the most affordable waterproof bag, and the backpack structure made it very easy to carry it around. I have started to use it as my everyday pack. The only PROBLEM is that the stitching that attaches the strap to the bag ended up breaking. However, this was actually NOT A PROBLEM. I emailed Chaos Ready directly, and Chelsea from the company promptly replied that she would be more than happy to send me a replacement at no cost. I would highly recommend the company and its products moving forward.

Tough, durable, and will keep your gear dry!
My teenage son has used his Chaos backpack for two years! He participates in a weekly Wilderness Awareness School in the Pacific Northwest, and it has survived the wet and rugged conditions that he frequently finds himself in. His strap also broke away halfway through this past year, but we reattached it with heavy duty fishing line (my husband’s idea, not mine). It has continued to keep all of his gear dry, and I highly recommend this bag. A great bag for the money!
