The Four Agreements Companion Book: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom and Lasting Inner Peace
The Four Agreements Companion Book by Don Miguel Ruiz expands upon the life-changing principles introduced in The Four Agreements. While the original book outlines four key agreements to transform your life—be impeccable with your word, don’t take anything personally, don’t make assumptions, and always do your best—this companion book goes deeper, offering exercises, insights, and reflections to help integrate these agreements into your daily life. What makes this book stand out is its interactive approach. Rather than simply rehashing the original ideas, Ruiz provides practical tools and guided self-inquiry to help readers confront their fears, break old patterns, and uncover the subconscious beliefs that limit their personal growth. Whether you’re working to improve your relationships, overcome self-doubt, or live more authentically, this book offers a supportive roadmap for real, lasting change. Key takeaways include: Transformative exercises to identify and release toxic agreements you’ve unconsciously made. Clarity on how the four agreements apply in real-life scenarios, making it easier to implement them. Spiritual wisdom that empowers you to reconnect with your true self and live a life of freedom, love, and joy. This book is ideal for those who’ve read The Four Agreements and are ready to go deeper into its teachings. It’s also an excellent resource for anyone new to Ruiz’s work, as it provides a more hands-on, immersive approach to his Toltec wisdom. Overall, The Four Agreements Companion Book is not just a guide—it’s a call to action. It invites you to engage with your inner world, question the stories you’ve been told, and rewrite them in a way that aligns with your highest truth. If you’re looking for a practical and profound way to cultivate personal freedom, this book deserves a place on your shelf. Who it’s for: Individuals on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth. Fans of The Four Agreements who want actionable steps to deepen their practice. Anyone feeling stuck in negative patterns or seeking a more peaceful, authentic life. I encourage every avid reader or newbie to the Self Actualization and Growth Mindset to include Don Miguel Ruiz: The Four Agreements and The Four Agreements Companion Book to their collection. You will not regret. Enjoy reading!!

Years of therapy and dipping into other self help books was basically a waste of time and money
This is the essential guide to understanding reality as it is,and how we define ourselves in our reality as a result of the "domestication" we went through as children. Years of therapy and dipping into other self help books was basically a waste of time and money. THIS BOOK IS SIMPLE BUT POWERFUL. It will change how you see the world. It will empower you to recognize life as it is and give you "wisdom tools" to avoid the miseries we often choose to become a pert of. The Toltec's ,who preceded the Aztec's,basically see the competing opinions and beliefs and the arguments, fights and wars that are spawned from them as mankind's created world, or dream, of Hell. We choose to be apart of that Hell every day by adding our opinions or driving home our beliefs to people who may feel differently. We try to impose our dreams on others who have dreams of their own People do this to each other and nations do ut as well. The collective mess from all these differing beliefs and customs and philosophies is a giant noisy cluttered world that never shuts up. We make a huge mistake when we jump into it and join in the mess. So the four agreements teaches one how to recognise that Hell and once you see it as it is, you simply decide not to jump in. The wisdom also releases one from who they were told they were by parents, teachers and others as we were children and vulnerable to their opinions of us. As children we believed our mom when she told us we cant sing, or will never be much of a math wiz. They imprint our young brains with who they think we are and we believe it. The book teaches you how to unwind all that and see yourself as you want to be. It is liberating. It explains that we all live our own individual dream, and no other person is allowed to change it with their opinions on how we should live our dream. They can try, but the book teaches you how to,"Not let them in". The simplicity of this wisdom is so easy to master, once you see the world as a giant neverending argument between staunch believers, you simply choose not to become involved. The book goes into the power of the spoken word and how we cast spells on each other with our words. White spells when we say nice things and encourage each other and Black spells when we say mean and degrading things to each other. I could go on and on but it takes about an hous and a half to read this book. Read it twice and then take a walk or a drive and see the world as it really is. From that point on you will have the wisdom to protect your dream and stay out of the collective madness we all live within.

MUST HAVE IN MASTERING THE FOUR AGREEMENTS
I wish I had read this book the first time I read The Four Agreements 20 years ago. It really delves deep into how to implement them, and get the most out of what is a life-changing practice. Now that I have read it, I'm going to go back more slowly to reflect and do the recommended exercises and practices to truly master Don Miguel's teachings. 100% recommend!

Working on myself with this book!
I am finding this book useful for some introspection. It is my year of me - as my nest empties out this fall. I am finding the exercises helpful for re-learning who I am and how I think. I need to let go of a lot of things, attitudes, fears and bad habits that I have been collecting for a lifetime. Time to purge what isn't working! Time to let go. Anyone else relate? Peace to you.

Used for 4 agreements study and 99% of participants loved it, even the long timers who thought they new everything. It takes reading and personal application to work, but worth it.

You need to have read the four agreements to find this book useful. Don Miguel Ruiz helped me to become a better life coach. I recommend the four agreements to all my clients as offering 4 vital rules to a balanced and happy lifestyle. The ancient wisdom of the Toltecs is beautifully brought to life by this brilliant author. I also have the audio version of all his books which are read by a credible voice and are a great way to instil wise words. I listen as I jog in open aces and it seems that nature itself is imparting her knowledge!
