Very nice brush with just the right amount of bristle length and stiffness.

After I bought a Beardman brush for my beard, my son wanted a nice brush for his hair. I told him that this was the kind of brush that his great grandpa used to use (boar hair military style without a handle). After looking at the many options and reading many reviews I finally settled on the Kingston brush because it was 100% boar hair, it received good reviews, and it appeared to be a well made product. My son loves his new brush. He likes the way it's curved to fit his head. The bristles are just the right stiffness for a small boy's hair. Although he originally wanted a brush that came in a cloth bag like the Beardman, he really likes the fancy box that the Kingston brush came in! :) Before the first time that my son used the brush I ran my thumb across the bristles to dislodge any loose hairs. While a few fell out I don't believe it was excessive. In fact, I seem to remember that more hairs fell out of my Beardman brush when I first got it (although, also not excessive). I have run the brush through my beard and would say that the bristles are a little bit softer than my Beardman brush. The Kingston bristles were still stiff enough for my beard (not too thick and trimmed with the number 4 guard on my clipper) but soft enough that I kind of liked the way they felt better than the Beardman bristles. I would guess that the Kingston brush is stiff enough for most beards except for really thick ones. The curve of the Kingston brush is nice and my son likes the curve for his hair. However, I don't find it really necessary for beard brushing. The Kingston brush is a little bigger than the Beardman brush. The brush just fits my 7 1/2 year old son's hand comfortably. If it was any bigger it would probably be a little big for his hands. For my beard I think the size is a bit big. I prefer the slightly smaller size of my Beardman brush. It's just a little bit easier for me to use on my face. Overall, we are happy with the Kingston brush and would recommend it to anyone considering it.

Very good brush I ordered the Soft and Firm and they came super fast literally the next day after I ordered it . I just had a brush session with the firm one and the pull is noticeable I like the way it feels in my hand and the pockets on the side to get more grip . the bristles are firm but I’ve felt a Torino pro that was way harder but it didn’t do the same thing to my hair I don’t understand it but it’s a good brush for my hair texture (WAVY Course ) 4B is my hair texture but people always think I have good hair overall a good tool for the arsenal # waver of 20+ years

High quality materials, excellent & ageless ergonomic design, excellent styling and wood finish, all-natural fiber bristles make the Kingston hair & beard brush a top notch choice over many of its competitors. Be aware that this particular model brush has ''Medium'' stiff bristles although Amazon's web page description indicates that it is a stiffer design, but as a medium stiff bristle it is excellent. The particular item we received arrived with some clumps of bristles unevenly cut and loose bristles laying atop the bristle side (although no bristles appeared to be missing or loose from the product). We presumed this item got past quality control or quality assurance inspections as an exception rather than being typical of the Kingston line, but check further comments to draw your own conclusions. Once we contacted the seller, our email complaint was given a virtually immediate, polite, clear, efficient and helpful response. So if you too receive an exception or problem item, I feel confident you would be well taken care of by this marketer with minimum fuss or delay... something rather scarce in recent years.

I must say that I am notably impressed with the quality of this 100% boar hair brush! Right out of the shipping box, it shows its quality through its sturdy travel box (as pictured) not only by its durability and utility, but also by the simple yet sophisticated design elements used in Kingston's branding (graphic designer here.) Once open, the parcel did contain an object that I had previously thought not to exist. A brush that makes my beard... Happy! As advertised it is not too hard or soft plus, the curved design hugs my face with a gentle yet full embrace. I have also noticed a bit more glossiness to my beard, proving its ability to draw out and distribute oil well across your hair. I however have not used this on my scalp yet as I only received this wonderful brush last night, but I may try that out and update this review later. The handle is certainly made of high quality beechwood; it feels nice and smooth to the touch and fits rather well in my hand. One thing that did concern me a little is that as I was using it, I did notice a number of boar hairs coming loose (the description states that they are reinforced to not fall out) but, I will assume that is only a temporary thing as I'm sure not every hair can be wrangled perfectly. I can't wait to get to know my brush better, and have become an instant fan of the Kingston brand!

Good quality product, fits well in hand, soft bristle, easy maintenance for beard hair and scalp thinning hair. Box is good construction; wife uses as travel jewelry box.

Excellent fit in hand and feels good on the scalp. Bristles slightly softer than expected but doesn't lessen the product at all. Would buy this again but, given the great workmanship and components in this brush, it'll be a long time before I'll need to replace it.

I've been using this brush for about a month and a half now for my hair. I am a guy with wavy hair that is still growing out right now. The brush does a great job of distributing oils (I use Rosehip or Jojoba depending on the day). Although the bristles still feel like they're not hard enough, they still do a fairly decent job at bringing some shape back to my head. I haven't used it as a beard brush though. All in all quite satisfied with it!

Perfecto de tamaño ligereza y calidad. Llevo usando cepillos para el pelo toda la vida y este es el mejor que he tenido. Lo uso a diario y para viajes. Lo mejor las cerdas del cepillo que tienen una suavidad perfecta. Además viene con una cajita para llevarlo de viaje.
