Confirming that the digital code for the Ghost in the Shell (1995) 4K edition works as expected is a great catch. Because this title is distributed by Lionsgate, it follows specific redemption rules that differ from other major studios. Lionsgate does not participate in Movies Anywhere. This means your movie will not automatically sync between different platforms. You must choose a "home" for your digital copy carefully. Apple TV or Fandango at Home, difference is Fandango at Home supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos playback. Were Apple TC does not. Ghost in the Shell (1995) remains a landmark of science fiction, and its 4K UHD release is the definitive way to experience it. This edition successfully preserves the film's gritty, hand-drawn aesthetic while providing a necessary modern polish. Greate to see old anime in 4k. Love it.

Don't believe the one star reviews, it's only the slip cover that might be censored. (I throw them away, I don't want to remove multiple layers to get to the disc), And yes the song at the end credits is different, it's not that important, while that is an insult to the people who created the original soundtrack, it's not worth freaking out. The censorship on the slip cover is because these items are on display in public places, (and as we all know if you child sees a lady's nipples their head will literally explode) As far as the music at the end credits, as I said it is an insult, and should not have been done, but we don't know if there was a legitimate reason for doing that, not being a fan of eno, I wish they had used something else. Now for the movie itself, the sound is much better than either the DVD special edition or the 25th anniversary Blu-ray, not only because it is Atmos, but there were a lot more sounds that I couldn't hear in the other discs that I heard in this one. And the picture is amazing in Dolby Vision, if your TV plays that. It's brighter and you can see more detail. Also I thought I read that the subtitles had been changed, So, I revisited parts of my DVD and did not see where they were changed, if there really were any changes I'm pretty sure that they were an improvement. Rest assured that this movie has not been censored or majorly changed.

A stunning movie of being so worried about the lack of evidence of your reality you tell everyone about it- no that’s the bad one forgive me I happened to overload myself of “Ghost in the Shell.” I had already watched the movie and the sequel years before and decided to come back as part of my Mamoru Oshii Marathon. slow as a marathon can be I ended up reading the manga and postponing rewatching the movie, I rewatched the sequel after this and watched the 2.0 version (dubbed). Then I watched the live action remake, I think that movie was good, I allowed me to see what a movie that was a third of this movie lopped off and embalmed with Hollywood nonsense would be like. I decided to come full circle and buy this 4k Blu ray to really put a finish on my “Ghost in the Shell Experience.” As the for the quality of the product itself, it is nice to have, love to Oshii for directing this masterpiece.

The video quality is good, one of the best anime movies of all time. Only thing that holds back 5 star is that there’s almost no extra content about the making of the film.

The movie came in perfect condition and on time. I know others complained about the case being beat up/ damaged, but mine arrived without a scratch luckily, even if it camein loose plastic wrap that makes it seem as if it was opened once already. But no damage or wear and tear is noticeable (though I am slightly disappointed there's no slip-cover nor is it steelbook as the picture makes it look, but I wasn't expecting that after reading reviews anyway nor is it a big deal at this price). One review also said that the digital copy (luckily my codec wasn't expired) was only in standard HD, but I can attest to that being false with mine being read as the UHD version (atleast redeemed through Vudu/ Fandango that is, no idea if Apple's platform only has the HD version), so all is good there. All in all I'm VERY pleased to have gotten this on such a huge sale finally, and I can't wait to watch it. I definitely recommend going for it (from Amazon directly anyway, no 3rd party sellers here going by some reviews) if you're on the fence.

Must have for anime fans sound track through a 9.1 atmos speaker set up is amazing

Packaging quality and disk quality could be better. I was worried that the disk would shatter in my ps5, luckily it didn’t. Video quality seems to be okay, I’m not an expert on Ghost in the Shell rereleases and after all it is an old movie. Content wise - movie is great and I really like the interview with creators.

Version US, le bluray ne fonctionne donc pas. Pas de problème avec le bluray 4K (non zoné).
