Would this be visable to a Police Officer if you get pulled over and you roll down your window?

Accepted Answer

Unless you don’t have a CWL and therefore should be driving with a concealed firearm in the first place, then I’d say it’s still OK.

You should check your state & local laws to find out whether or not you’re REQUIRED to disclose to a police officer, upon being pulled over, that you have a firearm. Many states require instant decloaration, while others, like mine, may only require that you do so when asked, etc...

Go watch a tutorial on how to be polite to police as someone who carries, it’ll go a long way in the event.

Is there a list of vehicles that it either does or does not fit on?

Their website says: Will your Handgun Mount work on my vehicle?Our vehicle mount is universal by design to fit most any car or truck and is not vehicle specific. The mount works on most vehicles due to there being a gap beneath the steering column for tilt steering. You want to look for this gap beneath your vehicle's steering column and make sure that the gap edge/lip is a 1/4 inch or less in thickness, in order for the top hook of our mount to attach. If this gap edge/lip is thicker than 1/4 inch, or it is covered with rubber or plastic, then you will need our Vehicle Mount Adapter accessory. Our adapter simply bypasses the gap entirely, to allow mounting to vehicles that have issues installing. Our vehicle mount mount adjusts from 6 3/4" to 13 1/2", so please make sure your lower dash area is not too short or too long for the mount. If your vehicle is one of the few with a lower dash airbag, then we do not recommend this product.

So this is 35 dollars, plus shipping, for a nylon strap that is adjustable with two hooks?

This is a well made specialty product.  The core of the backing plate is steel wrapped in a rugged fabric and the hooks are coated.  Comes with three different velcro straps for holster attachment.  We are Poly Farm LLC, a reseller and not the manufacturer.  Not much margin on this item but it is a great solution for the problem it solves and we've been selling it for years.  Should work with any typical holster but we do have purpose-made holsters as well.

Question 4

ONE last question:  Will the strap that comes with the device fit through the 2" belt loop on my holster??

if your talking about the one that secures the holster to the bar yes a 2" opening is plenty room,but i've given up on this and went to order from texas custom holsters a leather holster drill little 3 little holes by (r) leg or under steering wheel or in center console(please not glove box) and it will go no place put weapon in just a little work and if ever take out put those little push in things in the holes that are all around the car just get from dealer, make sure you pick the one gun you want in there, i have the only 2 cars made that do not secure this damn holster not like in the videos, mine do not have solid ridges and roll off 2, day got it tried it are you kidding me one has no, lets say lower dashboard to even try to secure, drill, cant your way use texas customs and if it snows where you are raise it up some hope this helps basically just wanted to tell people not to get hopes up and on their web sight they have states w/stores that carry the item easy to by try in parking lot take bake in or let the owner prove he can get it to work hope i did someone good i try best i can to be helpful as i possibly can have a nice weekend.
