Olideauto Door Opener WiFi Electric Swing Door,Residential Door Opener WiFi Device with WiFi Smart Home Device Compatible for Alexa and Google Assistant

My son is in a powerchair, and we have always tried to bring as much Independance as possible to his life. Last year he progressed to not being able to open his bedroom door, which became another hurdle for him. I researched many companies before the purchase and chose the Olide for its price and reliability. We have had the opener installed for 3 months now and it works flawlessly every time. The added feature to allow him the button to be installed on his chair that will open and close the door was HUGE in giving him back his independence to open and close his door without asking someone to do it for him. The installation took some time, but their customer tech service was most helpful and sent any of the information needed to complete the installation. There is one review that I saw that said the door lock did not work properly but this kit does not come with an access control door lock. I removed the internal cylinder on the door lock and replaced the handles to be able to have the door to open freely. This must be done if you do not intend to use a electronic lock system that would release the door strike and allow the opener to open the door freely. I have had some issues with connecting the device to Alexa but will try and troubleshoot this issue later in the year and update this post with my findings. My son and I are happy with the door opener and would defiantly purchase again.

You won't be able to read the instructions. They were poorly translated from Chinese. If you can figure out the instructions, you still won't be able to get it to work right. Mounting this thing wasn't too bad except they expect you to cut a notch for the power cord to exit the controller. That would mean a sharp aluminum edge around the power cord...NOT SAFE !! Clearly they didn't get approval from Underwriters Laboratory so they shouldn't be selling these on Amazon. Then there's the additional box of goodies that'll really frustrate you. The box says it's a "PRES ENSE SENSOR"... yes with the space. But it's really two wireless buttons and a receiver of sorts that you'll have to find a place to mount. They never show that in the pictures do they? Anyway, this thing is supposed to connect to your wifi. Mine never could even though it was 6' away from it. And the buttons in that box... oh boy... another fun challenge. The main instruction manual (yes, there are several) says you can get these wireless buttons to pair with the controller by pushing a button on the controller until it stops beeping, then push it again, then push the button and the beeping should stop. The beeping never stops. NEVER !!!! It's so frustrating...and LOUD !! Save yourself $600. All the other openers on Amazon are basically the same main unit with different bells and whistles but much cheaper. This piece of schnitzel is basically garbage.

Unit works great for our home, we liked it so much we ended up buying 3. We have one for all exterior doors on our house so our son can have the independence of going in and out of the house.

This is a great product. I mean great, The issue is the screws it comes with will eventually rip themselves out. Make sure you take mounting screws to Home Depot (for reference) and buy two inch ones.. Make sure you get them into wood not just sheet rock.

This is not Wi-Fi, much less Alexa enabled, will not unlatch the doorknob, and is not well supported by a typical residential wooden door frame. This is not at all what was advertised. The only difference it has made is that it makes the door more difficult to manually open.

Such a great solution. Works flawlessly with Alexa (YouTube will show you the way). Should be part of the standard kit for quads!

I recieved it at about 2pm and by 6pm this was my result. Set up of the opener was easy. I did attach this to a murphy door that is not the same thickness of a normal door, i just made sure the track was in the correct place to slide so that the door could fully open and close.
