This product is perfect for my Sony RX1R2 camera. Well made, nice fit and finish and more affordable than the OEM version. Recommended!

Not good! When the hood is completely screwed on it is totally crooked. Not sure why this is happening, but I will be returning asap and going a different way. I also purchased the camera grip and the shutter release button, and those were just fine.

Wanted the rectangular shade shown in image. That's why I paid the $69. What I got was the circular hood which I could have paid much less for. It's nice and fits well just not what I thought I was going to get. Not worth the hassle to send it back.

Okay, so it's just a lens hood, and seems over priced, right? You're not wrong. The 'fotodiox PRO" labeling that shows at the top also looks a little gimmicky. But man, is this thing solid. And the protection to the lens is outstanding.I don't worry about the cap getting ripped off anymore. It holds it in place just fine. I don't even use a lens (so no more potential lens flare during shoots) anymore since the hood protects it from everything but dust, which is easy enough to manage.The black coating does not scrape off easily. This camera only hangs on using Peak Design's mounting system attached to a Chrome Industry bag. The camera gets beat up a lot while I'm walking around, setting down the bag, etc. Not one chip or any signs of wear so far.There is no play - the hood sets in solidly and does not wobble.Originally I was iffy on purchasing this hood at $50. But come on - you've dropped several grand on this camera. Just cough up the dough and protect it a little.

Mounted on a Sony-Zeiss 35mm f/2.8, which is (almost) permanently affixed to my Sony a6000 (though it sometimes travels to a7RII). I find the lens hood to be effective, and non-intrusive. It provides flare protection as well as some style cool points. Recommended.

Internal matte paint scratches off too easily. A bit of internal matte paint had been scratched off on arrival. Area where the matte paint had fallen is reflective (shiny black) and defeats the purpose of the hood.

could NOT get it to snap on... even Hubby's larger, stronger hands could not do it... so am returning....

It's a fine and functional hood--well designed and well made. However, I found the fit onto my lens to be scary tight, I now apply a thin film of light oil to twist it on and off.
