Lifetime Slam-It Pro Basketball Rim, Will Not Fit Other Brands,18 Inch

My husband and 17 yr. old son installed a few weeks ago. It's gotten a ton of use and holding up!

Good quality hoop. But make sure to keep the old bolts as the design of my original hoop is slightly different from the instructions that came with the new one. The new bolts is not long enough. I used the original bolts which worked perfectly.

This was a perfect fit and went in pretty easily.The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because there is a piece that is not included with this and it's needed.When you install the bolts, there is a black spacer (I forget what they actually called it) and it does not come with this unit.Without it, you can not tighten the bolts.Thankfully, I still had the old rim and all the parts.The spacer was too big so I got my grinder and adjusted the size.Personally, I believe it should come with it.If it should have, please let me know and I will adjust the review.

Oem product which is great. Very hard to install. You must take the entire backboard apart. Instructions unclear. Search for my YouTube video on how hard installation is

Product arrived on time, all parts were included and then some, which is a necessity in case the old parts are worn out. Easy assembly went smoothly. Nothing but good things to say. Happy Hoopster!Anyone with slight mechanical ability can do this. Instructions were good too.

I bought this to replace a rim on a Lifetime backboard and rim. Looks the same, however, a few parts are different and now I am trying to make it work with a combo of old and new parts. The problem with the old parts is many of the metal screws are bent and worn. Low quality. I did have original backboard and rim for about 5 years. My oldest boy is in 7th grade and tends to dunk on it a bit. Also, very difficult to follow instructions and put together. A two person job.Summary: Will not hold up to 7th graders dunking. Parts do not always fit older Backboards and Rims. Hard to follow instructions. Two person assembly.

Bought this as a replacement rim for our lifetime backboard system. I didn't even realize I bought the Slam-it pro. The kids love it. It is heavy duty & looks professional. Definitely an upgrade for the original rim (which bent to an oval shape when the whole backboard fell over during the fall hurricane).

Satisfied with the item however the item needs to include the additional support bracket that I needed for my installation. That part was a bit aggravating. The additional bracket is not an option when looking at this product. I was able to use a piece of uni-strut cut the right length.
