Expansion worth adding
This is an expansion. You need the talisman actual game to play. The game is actually pretty easy to explain and learn. Boards are great quality and pieces can be painted to add a personal touch. This expansion is fun. Creatures are difficult but the treasures are worth the trouble.

Beware: new version by Pegasus Spiele
So the pictures here arent representative of what was actually delivered...wish either Amazon or manufacturer would display what we are getting PROPERLY. I have the other 3 expansions by FF (Fantasy Flight) and the pictures dont show that but it also doesnt show the huge red pegasus symbol in the corner in a SMALLER BOX (than the FF boxes were) when it arrived. I find it annoying and lazy that so many companies and/or Amazon dont check out listings well enough. In fact when I clicked to buy this the pegasus spiele name wasn't even listed so I truly thought I was going to get the FF box set! After receiving the box today I looked online to find out WTH happened...I have 3 of the 4 big expansions already and the dragon expansion I got 4 years ago or so...and havent followed it much, so had to educate myself. Sidenote, I actually played the original GW version back in the 80s when this first came out. I got used to FF and that quality. Now I will have a mixed expansion to go along with the FF version...kind of not ideal, but gameplay will be the key. So I'll update this listing if I encounter any other "surprises" after I give this to ke son for his bday (shhhhh...dont tell him). The research I did says it should be compatible with the FF stuff. But gamers know that often doesnt happen...card look slightly different or colored a little off, etc. For now...4 out of 5 stars for a bait and switch feel I got from this. May update it to 5 starts if the quality blows me away or lots of room to go down if its garbage...

Great addititon to game.
Some of the new game mechanics only affect new characters so if you have a lot of expansions they won't get used much if you truly draw your characters at random. Playing in the woodland is fun and challenging.
