Grangers Perfomance Wash/Premium Detergent for Outerwear/ 10oz, Performance, 300 ml, Transparent

Great product. Doesn't really have a scent; it was really easy to use with my arc'teryx jacket and other gore-tex garments and it did not affect the jackets looks at all. It also didn't even affect the water-proof coating!

After much research, I selected this liquid detergent to wash my expensive technical clothing, and rain gear. It does the job, nicely.

Used this on my Arc'teryx Atom Lt and various other sensitive outdoor gear. I followed the directions on package. It left my gear odorless, soft, and clean. Only criticism I can make is that it might be too mild for base layer wash, as the detergent did not fully remove armpit deodorant residue (you might need to pre-treat or scrub before wash). I applied Granger's Performance Repel after washing DWR coated gear. Worked great! Rain drops just beaded up as if the jacket were new. Yes, it is pricey; but, it works and gives you the ease of mind that it won't damage the performance of your gear. Look for it to go on sale, by in bulk, or as a combo to save money. I would purchase this again and I do recommend its use.

I was watching YouTube on how to properly maintain my Deadbird Wear (Arcteryx). I have had to clean them as well as treat them. The instructions are simple to follow and easy to apply to get the best results. Clothes are clean and work the same way when I got them.

Top notch and super easy to use. If you own expensive outerwear or base layers, this is the only detergent you should be using. Pair it with the Granger's Xtreme Repel and your gear will be working like off the rack new for years to come. This season I washed two Patagonia down sweaters, a Patagonia nano air hoody, two north face jackets and a light jacket and they all came out spotless and looking brand new. Before I hung them to dry, I hit them with the Xtreme Repel and every jacket has been working top notch in rain, sleet and snow since. This is a great product that I highly recommend!

I first tried this product because it was recommended by Arcteryx for use one of their costly Goretex Pro jackets. Since then I've used it on other high performance tech fabrics and the results have been really good. I follow the instructions and also use a few drops full strength on grease spots or stains--scrub gently with a toothbrush and they usually disappear. I do feel like it restores the original waterproof qualities and even revives the DWR finish.

Like one other reviewer, the bottle came without the green cap. But I didn't want to me with return and reorder. I found that some bottle caps in the house fit, so I just ended up using it. I used the little cups that come on medicine bottles to measure it. The title used to say this cleans down, which is why I ordered it. But the description mentions technical clothing, so I wasn't sure if it would work on a down comforter. Turns out it did. It did not seem to take the oil off the down, but did clean the outer fabric pretty well. The comforter cover is kinda natural cotton colored and came out whiter. The title no longer mentions down, so this is probably not the right product. But I will use it on my down backpacking sleeping bag and other down comforter. The first comforter has some tiny holes that the down leaks out of and some feathers came out and floated to the top of the water during the wash. That's how I know it didn't mess up the oil covering the down, or at least didn't take too much off.

I bought this along with the down wash to use on winter gear before applying Granger's extreme repel. After chatting online with a representative from Granger's (quick and thorough customer service) I decided to use the performance wash on the snowpants, down jacket, and gloves that needed to be treated for water repellancy. The wash was easy to use. I washed all the items together with 2 capfuls of the wash. I hung them to dry for about 30 minutes them sprayed the extreme repel on the items. I rubbed it into the fabric gently for a minute or so and popped the items into the dryer with tennis balls. I dried until each item felt dry (I used a heat seeing but don't remember how high). I tested each item under a faucet and the water beads off. Next is to try it in the snow. I did clean my washer before using this product, as I clean it every 2 months or so. The representative I spoke with said even running the washer with no detergent before using would suffice.

Awesome product. Use Graingers’s products for all our outdoor gortex and down outerwear. Highly recommend this detergent.

Works extremely well - Recommend

This stuff is great for jackets and other outdoor wear. It doesn't leave any residue. I try to wash my jackets at least once a season, and this is sort of an all in one tech wash that restores some of the coating as well. One capfull of liquid will do one coat. My previous bottle lasted two years, but it depends on how much you use it of course. I would definitely recommend this.
