Ubee DDW365 Wireless DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem Gateway

Let's see: After my brother left for work, the TWC technician started telling me there was a problem with the modem, and that it just was not connecting. He said he had a spare in his trunk (how prepared!), and that I could rent that one. I told him to continue checking. After another 15 minutes, he said the device was just not coming online. I told him that I would sign off on his work, but that I was not going to rent from TWC. I'd buy another (if needed). Within 30 seconds of the tech leaving, I called TWC Customer Service in Cincinnati and spoke to Adrianne. We went through my account line by line. Curiously, my MAC address was not correct. Even more curious, my modem, after being pinged, reset, and re-powered, worked. Thank you, Adrianne. This modem works great. Just watch out for technicians who will try to con you.

This was cool but I only wish I could use my own password settings and although it shows a power cord I didn't receive one with it. Amazon had to send me one. For this reason I gave it a three... disappointing! Don't get me wrong it works very well!!!

Was in great condition and easy to set up, great value for my money.

I ordered this modem after seeing it on the approved modem list from TWC (now Spectrum). The problem with this modem is that when you call TWC, they will tell you that yes, this is an approved modem for use with high-speed internet. BUT, read on... After calling TWC tech support to activate, they didn't recognize the brand name "Ubee." Then they were unable to find the model number. Then they could not validate the MAC ID, despite multiple attempts. Then we tried activating it to 3 different cable lines. Nothing. After 3 days of troubleshooting, I returned to the seller and purchased a tried-and-true Motorola Surfboard, which I had up and running in approximately 5 minutes. So, buyer beware. Even if you do your due diligence, you may still get burned on this one with compatibility issues (perhaps this is reflected in the price, and sellers are hoping for lazy customers not bothering to return). Just sayin'.

Plugged it in, hooked it up and it powered up okay. Called my ISP and they allocated the modem in two minutes. The whole operation took about 20 minutes and I was back on the internet.

I purchased it to use it with Time Warner Cable aka Spectrum . It works as expected however I changed the SSID name and it consistently disconnects the WiFi within a day. I eventually just left the SSID name as the default name and it no longer disconnects the WiFi.

DOCSIS3.0 is nice just for the fact that IF by some chance gigbit reaches my area I can get higher speeds. It's a decent box, but I have had to reset it occasionally when I can't connect. Im in the process of putting it into bridged mode so that I can pair it with another router.

This was fantastic for the price. It took 4 million years for time warner cable to figure out how to connect it to my account and then once connected I had a lot of trouble getting the wifi to light up. I don't know if this helps, but if this happens to anyone else, just connect the ethernet directly to your computer, go to the standard IP (username and pw are both user, user - for signing in) then reset the wifi settings. Well worth it for the price!
