My med/long hair cat enjoys being brushed with this slicker brush. It's easy to clean. I find it works well on his fluffy tail and rear end but not as well on his sides for some reason. It's hard to brush him super well because he gets so excited. At first I thought he hated it, but when I stopped he started rubbing all over it and wanted more. Does not work too well on my shorter coat dog.

I really like this brush! The pins are rounded so it's not as scratchy as most slicker brushes and the self cleaning push up feature works great - the plate actually pushed up over the bristles so the hair just be wiped off, and I like storing it that way too. I just wish it was a little smaller! The size makes it kind of awkward to use on a cat.

This is the best brush that I’ve had for a pet. It works both well for dogs and for cats. You easily brush, and then dispose of the fur when it pops out. I highly recommend it and my animals love how it feels. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So my family has 4 cats, 2 of them long haired. The boy cat, Shadow, and my dad have been thick as thieves. My dad uses a cart as a walker and Shadow will ride it around with dad, watch TV with him, snuggle with him, etc. He was the son my dad never had. Shadow has always treated me like a booty call. In the day time in front of others? Couldn't care less about me. But 3am when he wants snuggles? Slides into my room like, "Hey you up?" just to get some pets and then leave me again. Typical boy. Only problem was Shadow's fur was getting matted. Dad insisted he had the best brush on the market, but the mats spoke for themselves. He tried other methods but Shadow wasn't a fan of those either. We tried a lion cut but he looked so sad afterwards that I will never do that to my baby again. So I did a little Google research and, after seeing some reviews, I tried this one. It's cheap, looked easy to clean, so why not give it a shot? It's been less than a week and already Shadow has forsaken dad for me. Just the first time I tried it he was a big, black fluffball purring happily away. In just a few days I've gone from side chick for snuggles to having him simp. Honestly embarrassing for him. Now any time he feels like he needs a brushing he comes up to me and meows until I give into his demands. Or comes over and puts his head in my hands. Then he just purrs and purrs as I brush him. If I stop, he insists I keep going with aggravated meows. He wants nothing to do with dad now; only brushing. Morning, middle of the day, middle of the night... time is irrelevant to him. He even gets mad if the other cats come around or dare to use HIS brush, even though they love it just as much. All my cats turn into puddles of purrs after just a few brushes. All of their coats are looking shiny and fabulous, though the increase of them catching paws with each other to get brush time has been a bit much. Other than that, I'm happy because the brush is so simple to use and easy to hold onto. Cleaning this brush of fur and dandruff is so much easier to do than normal brushes. My dad has used ones specifically for mats but I've had better success with this one thus far. It makes my short hair cats happy. It can tackle mats on my long hair cats. The cats are obsessed with this brush to the point of abandoning their bonded humans. Only real downside thus far is that I'm going to need to get another one for my dad so his feline son returns to him. So if you want to take good care of your cats coat and can handle them fighting over you, then this brush is great. 5 paws out of 5.

I bought this unit on a Lightning deal on a whim as I have a ShedMonster that works pretty well. I have a long hair cat (Maine coon) a short hair domestic cat (Calico) along with a 15 pound Terrier dog and a 12 pound mutt who is a tripod. Primarily I got it for my Maine Coon cat who would shed like crazy. After sitting on my lap for 15 minutes I'd have enough cat hair to put together a make-shift mini beard on my face. I use this unit almost every day since it arrived, and she loves it. Unlike the ShedMonster, she purrs every time I use this on her and actually lets me brush her without fighting it. After brushing, the clean up is as easy as I've ever seen. The bristles go in with a simple click of the button and the hair is simple to brush away. The reason this gets 5 stars? The Tripod actually lets me brush her - first time I've been able to do this in five years. That's when you know you have a good quality brush that is as described - the pets love it - it probably feels like a good massage to them. And most importantly, shedding is reduced by 90%. Now my maine coon can sit on my lap and I won't have that much fur left on me at all. In fact, sometimes I don't even need to use my lint roller anymore afterward. I would recommend this for any cat or dog you may have. They will like being brushed, it will reduce shedding, and the clean up is as easy and efficient as it gets.

We have a short haired Parson Russell Terrier who sheds a lot. Vacuuming the house everyday still isn't enough to keep up on the dog hair he leaves behind. We have a couple different brushes that we've used over the last couple of years and it doesn't seem to make much of a difference in the amount of hair that he sheds. So we decided to do some research in looking for a tool that would really help keep up on most of the shedding. We found this product, Hertzko-Self Cleaning Slicker Brush on Amazon, and we're amazed at the reviews. So we were excited to give it a try in to see how it worked for our Terrier. Unfortunately, we did not seem to have the same results after using the brush. The brush seem to be quite uncomfortable or painful for our Terrier, as each time we stroked, he would try to bite us and jerked his body as if it were pulling at his skin. That response is very unusual for him as he loves a really good scratching and brushing. Also the amount of hair that actually came off of him was very little, but when we scratch him with our bare hands we had a ton of hair fall to the ground. As excited as we were to try out this product, our experience was disheartening. We do feel like this brush is a great product, but more designed and meant for long haired or medium haired dogs or cats, and not a very good product for short haired animals. So although this is not a product we would recommend for a dog like ours, we still think this is a good product. UPDATE: I contacted the company directly and shared my experience. They are a company that shows integrity and stands by their 100% satisfactory guarentee. I would definitely rate the company 5 stars in taking care of their customers and being willing to listen.

This works great. So easy to clean. After brushing my cat it is so satisfying to push the button and clean the fur off. My cat is medium haired and brushing helps reduce her hairballs.

J’ai testé pas mal de brosses pour chats, mais celle-ci sort clairement du lot. Mon chat n’est pas toujours très coopératif quand il s'agit de toilettage, mais avec la Hertzko, ça passe beaucoup mieux. Les picots sont suffisamment souple pour ne pas irriter la peau, tout en attrapant bien les poils morts. Le gros plus, c’est le système autonettoyant. On appuie sur le bouton, la plaque se rétracte, et les poils s’enlèvent d’un coup, sans avoir à galérer à les retirer à la main. Vraiment pratique au quotidien, surtout quand on brosse souvent. Bonne prise en main, facile à nettoyer, et solide dans le temps. Un excellent accessoire pour entretenir le pelage de son chat sans prise de tête.

Wir haben ein Britisch langhaar mit viiiiiel Fell . Ich habe nur ganz kurz gebürstet.(nicht mal eine Minute) Ich war positiv überrascht wieviel die Bürste in der kurzen Zeit raus hatte. Mein Kater lässt sich nicht gerne kämmen aber das ging ohne Probleme. Unser Kitten (Norwegische Waldkatze) hat sich ebenfalls gut kämmen lassen . Ich kann sie echt nur empfehlen. Sie sieht auch aus als wäre die Qualität gut. Sie liegt gut in der Hand . Das reinigen ist dank des Knopfes ein Kinderspiel . Da ja jeder was negatives hören will… hier kommt es . Mein Kopf klackert etwas . Mich und die Katzen stört es aber nicht . Aber irgendjemand findet es vielleicht schrecklich . Also hab ich es mal erwähnt bevor jemand entsetzt ist 😉 Über den Blitzversand muss ich glaub ich nichts sagen . Amazon ist unschlagbar . Gestern bestellt und heute da . 🫶🏻 Für mich war und ist die Bürste jeden Cent wert .
