Excellent book and true description of a bee's flight! Children and adults can learn from reading this book!

This book is much loved by the kids & adults in our house. We keep backyard honeybees & I was searching for a book we could share with friends who came by to meet our little pets. I reviewed a pile of top rated Amazon options from the library before ordering, and this was the best! Huber combines succinct facts about bees with a brief story of Scout, perfectly summarizing a day in the brief life of a worker bee. Beyond the great info, it's beautifully illustrated.

Added this book to my collection of books on bees for elementary children. Easy to understand, story-book personalized with a named bee and pleasant, not-too detailed illustrations, and bee-facts included; good for out-loud reading by teacher and/or parent. Last page has an index for locating specific information about bees, plus some tips to protect them.

Very cute, for a 10 year old who loves honey and had a honey themed birthday party

Intended as a gift for a neighbor who teaches 2nd grade and her two young sons--along with some honey from my (alas topbar , not Langstroth) hive, the book is informative, entertaining and beautifully illustrated--a great gift!

I use this book in my 8th grade science class. The illustrations and science facts help all levels of my students to comprehend the importance of honeybees and their survival mechanisms.

My 5th graders are learning about the decline in bee population so this was a good resource to build background knowledge about bees.
