Lamiglas - Insane Surf Fishing Rod

I WANTED TO WAIT TO POST A REVIEW UNTIL I TRIED IT OUT, IT IS EVERYTHING I EXPECTED IN A LAMIGLAS POLE, MY OTHER FOUR ARE CUSTOM ONE PIECE I MADE AND FIGURED I WILL TRY THE TWO PIECE ALL READY MADE AND IT WORKS GREAT, 1ST TIME OUT I LANDED 6 BLUE FISH FROM 14 LB TO 5 LB AND THE ACTION IS GREAT! I FITTED IT WITH THE "PENN BATTLE" REEL, USING 20 LB SPIDER BRAID, VERY HAPPY WITH THIS SETUP!WOULD ADD PICTURES BUT THERE IS NO ADD PHOTO BUTTON.. Update 9-28-2015 over year later. best pole for the surf , countless fish and no issues being 2 piece. light weight and well balanced.

This is a great rod for the price. I use 3 to 5 oz. Lures and this rod gives me excellent casting distance. This rod is light in weight and has forward leaning eyes. Quality bilt. Should last me many seasons.

Paired this rod (LIS10MS) with a Penn 5500 Slammer III and had been my go-to all fall for stripers on the NJ surf. Unfortunately during the blitz the reel seat came unglued, took it to my local tackle shop and was told it wouldn’t be worth the repair costs, and was wished good luck with dealing from Lamiglas customer service. They were right, submitted the online form with all documentation and photos and have been ignored despite follow up emails. Great rod, would love to have it repaired or replaced during the off-season but given the lack of customer service I will be picking up another brand early this new year.

Perfect 9ft rod for fishing the summer in NJ for smaller fish. I use it for schooly stripers, bluefish, but it really shines for fluking the surf. This is the thinnest 9fter I own, super light, and even small fish put a nice enjoyable bend in the rod.

I thought all lamiglas were made in the U.S this was actually built in China. Alright rod, slightly flimsy.

Damaged: multiple deep gouges 2 inches long.
