I wanted a workout that would be enjoyable enough for me to do everyday because if it wasn't, I wouldn't do it. When I was younger all I did was dance but since going to college, I didn't have any time to do it anymore so I love a good dance workout. She starts out with a warm-up that lasts a little while, so if your not used to dancing or have ever been in a dance class it might seem a little long. But it gets you ready for the dance part later. And if you don't have a dancer's background,it's OK because she breaks down each step. And she even tells you to do everything at your own level.There is the break-down part, then she does the whole sequence of all the dances at a medium pace, and then at a fast pace so...pace yourself. You can even stop and watch her do them until you get the hang of it...that's the beauty of not being at a gym or going to a class with a whole bunch of people! I also love that she incorporates core exercises before you get stared dancing. In my opinion, this is a great workout that is fun enough for me to stick to. And since I'm not big on going to the gym,it's just perfect for me. Unlike most dance workouts, the Brazilian dance moves she teaches are really fun, and they really are dance moves you can use while going out. Wonderful Inspiration
I'm over 60 and out of shape and was just looking for something - ANYTHING - that would make me want to stand up for longer than 10 minutes and MOVE. I purchased this DVD as well as her other DVD called Samba Reggae Workout in the hopes that it was something different and would at least get me off the couch. And I hit the Mother Lode. Both of these DVDs are wonderful. I'm not a dancer. The reviews stating it's too hard to follow or she doesn't spend time teaching - who cares? I'm not dancing in front of judges on Dancing With the Stars. I'm not trying for perfect 10 scores. I just want to move a bit. What I do love more than anything is that there is no "music" to get bored with, no annoying backup dancer saying "Whoo" every two seconds. It's strictly percussion/drums and her voice is soothing and not something you just want to mute instead of listen to. I could put the sound track on "repeat" and leave it on all day and it would be fine. So anyone looking for something a little different, I'd say go for it. At any age, any level of dance (or not) and any fitness level. I discovered I was winded quickly - and I should have been. But I was having fun and that is what is inspiring. Great products, great lady.

Background music is monotonous
I like the mix of yoga moves, hip action swivels, etc. but the MUSIC...this is supposed to be a samba reggae...what it is, is somebody banging on a drum with the same beat the whole way through the DVD. Samba music is vibrant and upbeat. I think the music should be changed to what the title of the DVD implies and I think all of us who have bought this DVD should get a free copy of a new one with Samba music in the background.

I wanted to try her before joining her Ailey class - I have never sweated so much and had such a rush of fun and so easily felt like a real samba dancer. This is AMAZING cardio. WOW (best video on my collection for cardio!!) but not for those out of shape.

The song its boring
I like how she teach every move but the songs are so boring that dont help to be more confident and be happy doing exercise

Love this video
I love this workout video. The warm up has a lot of yoga moves, which I love doing since I'm am trying to keep my 58 year old self as limber as I can be. Then the dance steps are great. I just wish it had music instead of drum beats, but I guess I can just turn my volume down and turn on some music to solve that problem. :) I would love a second edition of this video with different moves.

MAKE YOU WANT TO MOVE
this is great if you like the carnival style ! If you are not really in shape, it will certainly make you sweat and if you ARE in shape, it will at leat make you workout a little, or more. It might seems cheesy at first sight, but the music and the dance are what I was looking for (the essential part)

Brazilian Carnival Dance Workout
I purchased this DVD to increase my fitness levels, tone a little and in hope of improving my somewhat terrible coordination with this and a few other activites. This DVD in particular I have really been very impressed by. The warm-up is long and thorough, but even alone, provides a brilliant workout and as an added bonus, is slowly stretching my little hamstrings! At first I struggled to keep up and some things I simply couldn't do, but over a short space of time (where I had fun learning, and quickly achieving my goals!) I am now managing the DVD at the slower pace just fine and practicing until I can do them all together at the faster speeds. Quenia is a wonderful instructor, and provides a well explained, rewarding and most of all, fun workout. I shall definately be purchasing more of her DVD's once I have mastered this one! :)

Quema calorías al ritmo de Samba Reggae
Me gustó muchisimo este Dvd. El warm up desde mi punto de vista es muy largo, relajaba demasiado mis musculos, lo cual hacía que me costara trabajo terminar todo el workout. En sí me encantó la rutina de baile, va de lo simple a lo complejo, de un ritmo lento a un ritmo rápido. Quemas bastantes calorias y es garantia que terminarás empapado en sudor de manera divertida. Recomiendo ampliamente este workout, ademas por la musica super vigorizante del Samba Reggae!! En cuanto a la entrega del producto, Amazon se saca un 10, llegó antes de lo previsto y sin ningun contratiempo.

Les explications sont très détaillées, le pas à pas permet de bien comprendre les pas. Même s'il n'y a qu'une seule chorégraphie c'est un très bon cours de découverte.

Fun workout- I would suggest modifying the warmup
Fun workout- I would suggest modifying the warmup, especially if you have arthritic knees- just when it comes to some of the deep knee bends. Obviously I am not nearly as limber as any of these incredible dancers, but that's ok. I will have to repeat this many times to get all the steps, but I enjoy the teaching style and the good vibrations were infectious! She was positive and encouraging. Sometimes I lost it completely- it was challenging when it doubt, keep moving. Fun stuff! I also enjoyed the music- love the drumming and the simplicity of the beat worked for me.
