Men's Pocket Watch Stainless Steel Analog Skeleton Watch Hand Wind Mechanical Movement Stainless Steel Chain

This is a exquisite little piece, I have been running it non-stop since I received it so far it has been good holding time have no issues very pretty Love the craftsmanship. Anyone that buys this will most likely fall in love with it I have.

I have, up to now, six wrist watches and two pocket watches ranging from a $50 Timex for work, to a $800 Swiss Rotary (we Brits love our Rotary!!). What do I have to say about my new acquisition? My Stuhrling arrived earlier and I set it over six hours ago against my Rotary. So far so good!! I have no plans to submerge it in water, nor do I intend to have it engraved. I am not a captain of industry, and neither am I too upset if, in time, it proves to gain or lose the odd minute over a 24 hour period. My 76 year young other Rotary, passed to me from my grandfather, gains about a minute every four days, but I wouldn't get rid of it for the world. This piece is beautiful, well constructed and a welcome addition to my collection. I would recommend this little gem to anyone who wants a beautiful timepiece, and especially at the price. Update: It's Murphy's Law that within an our of my review the watch jumped an hour. I called customer services, and within 18 hours a replacement arrived. This watch has been running for over 24 hours without a hitch. More interesting is that the box of the first had, embossed in gold, on its orange lid the name Stuhrling, and inside one elastic band to the right with the documents. With the new one, embossed in gold on the lid, is a quote from Max Stuhrling, and inside an extra band on the left under which is a cleaning cloth. It is logical to assume the second is a different, and more recent batch that has resolved problems encountered by previous reviewers. A hint. My gran always told me that when setting the time of a mechanical watch always do it clockwise, otherwise you are rotating the mechanism against itself. This may have an effect on the watches life and continued accuracy. P.S. Thank you Amazon, for your excellent service.

I wanted an horological artifact that I could display on my desk that would look classy, show the clock works, not take up a lot of room, and not bust my budget. This watch is uniquely suited to my needs because it is open faced front and back (no little doors to fiddle with) and has a half ring that snaps out of the back of the case that allows the watch to sit upright at about a 60 degree angle. It looks truly lovely on my desk. This watch feeds my octogenarian fantasy of once again being young…I am sitting in at a bar in a 5 star restaurant in my 3 piece pin striped suit. A beautiful svelte young woman walks up to me and says “Do you have the time?” I casually pull out my classy watch from my vest pocket, look down at the face and say “Why it is, ahhhhh, ummm, let’s see ahhhh, I can’t quite make this out, ahhh hold on.” I pull a pen light out of my suit jacket pocket, hold the watch at various angles, shining the light on the face frantically trying to see where the hands are. “Ahhh just a moment, I’ll get this for you.” The woman spies another gentleman with a three pound Rolex on his wrist and walks off. Don’t believe the photos of the watch on the Amazon sales page. The hands are difficult to see. They are very thin and painted black. The hour hand does not extend into the white face ring, so there is very little contrast between the hand and the watch movement on display behind the hand. The minute hand extends well out into the ring but because it is so thin it easily gets camouflaged by the Roman numerals on the face. The second hand is usually easy to find by virtue of the fact that it is constantly moving. If your desire is to know what time it is, you may want to consider another watch. If you want something that looks phenomenal on your desk and you have no need for the correct time, this is a nice choice. I have had the watch for only a few days, it started out gaining about 20 seconds a day, but after three days that has dropped down to gaining about 10 seconds a day. To use the language found on internet watch sites, 10 seconds a day is not bad for a “cheap knock off movement.” Due to the difficulty of seeing the hands, as a time piece in this price range, I would give the watch 2 stars, but as an horological trinket with a visible wiggling balance wheel to entertain an old man in his dotage (who happens to have a radio synched “atomic clock” 5 feet away), I give it 4 stars. “Old man in his dotage” may be the key factor here, I sincerely doubt this watch has the longevity to become an heirloom.

Very classy looking watch. Good value for the money. Instructions don't tell you how much to wind it. Wind it 25-40 turns or until you start to feel resistance every 24 hours. Be careful not to overwind.

The watch just arrived on time and in great condition. It seems to be high quality with the weight and feel of a good pocket watch. The visible movement adds great interest to the timepiece. Haven’t had it long enough to know if it is accurate in keeping time. The stainless steel case looks very good, giving the watch a vintage, daily use, appeal

Very sad to give this a 1-star as I own several Stuhrlings and love them. I also love pocket watches and mechanical watches. Wouldn’t keep consistent time even with daily winding. I ended up returning this piece because although beautiful, it was not a functional time piece. I expect that the Amazon ones are defunct as the actual website has these listed for an MSRP of over $400.

The winding ratchet mechanism broke after 4 months of keeping it running.

I love the open view on the mechanics of this watch. Keeps good time + or - a minute. Chain seems sturdy, and clamp on end of chain holds the watch secure to your clothing.

Je suis un grand amateur de montres et je possède deja 2 stuhrling automatiques. Elle sont de bonne facture et le mecanisme fonctionne impeccablement. Cette montre à gousset est très belle, de bonne qualité et fonctionne parfaitement (aucun décalage sur 72 heures de test). Je suis surpris des gens qui flinguent cette marque dans leur commentaire. Il n'y a que des commentaires assassins sur Amazon...

So far good, but price fluctuate so much as I've got it for 12k but it seems to go down till 9k, so get your deal and wait for it to become 9k.

I hadn't ordered from Stuhrling before so wasn't sure how reliable they were being based in the States, so instead of ordering from the Stuhrling website I ordered one through Amazon for a bit of added protection. It arrived on time and was well packaged. When I opened it I was surprised how plush the watch packaging was. It felt like quality. When I removed the watch, I was impressed with the weight of it. The whole thing surpassed my expectations. It's beautiful and exceptionally well price. I wouldn't hesitate to order from Stuhrling again. The only slight negative is not about the watch, it is about the support. I emailed Stuhrling and got a reply in good time, but I also contacted them using their WhatsApp number. That was on the 6th October 2021. My message is still sat there unread. That's a minor thing, but if it exists it should work.
