GORILLAAutomotive 41187B Acorn Bulge Seat Lug Nuts (1/2" Thread Size)

These are quality acorn lugs. They fit the wheels on my 2002 Dodge Durango perfectly. They are solid which is a plus, as the old, original acorns appear to have been solid nuts with a semi-hollow “acorn” cap.These are almost identical in length to the originals, being a fraction of an inch longer. It is not noticeable on the wheel, as the lug wells are recessed.Finish wise the chroming is similar to the originals, but these will be shinier due to the age of your originals.My lone complaint- they are packaged four to a bag. I’ve never had a wheel that takes less than five. So if replacing just a few, you are stuck buying an extra bag (2 bags to get 5 lugs, and 3 left over, etc.). Same if you need all four wheels (25 lugs), you need to buy 28.

I liked these lug nuts. Put new hubcaps on so I didn't notice the chrome finish until I removed a hub cap to check torque. There are a few rust marks on them already. I put them on about a month ago. Maybe I will go with aluminum next time.

If you have owned a Grand Cherokee for a while, you know that one of the weakness is that the factory 2-piece lug chrome "cap" can seperate from the actual lug nut. At least one separates at each tire rotation. I've purchased this brand and others. Unfortuantely, not all brands are identical in shape to each other or to the originals, some are a tad longer/shorter. After 18 years of ownership, I cannot now tell which are orginal and which have been replaced, so I have a little mis-match going on. If I had it to over, would purchase a full set of 20 and be done with it.

Replaced my locking lug nuts on each wheel with Gorilla lug nuts. Material and fit on wheel studs were good.Caution: On my 2010 RX450h Lexus, the wheel fit for the nut was deeper than the heads of the Gorilla lug nut, so very little of the head could be accessed for tightening if your tire iron/wrench is thick. I assumed that my lug wrench with the car would fit; but it didn't. I had to purchase a new tire iron to tighten the Gorilla lug nuts. I don't know how you could identify this as a potential problem without getting the Gorilla lug nuts and trying with your vehicles lug wrench.This caution made my rating a 4-star...they're a good value, they work fine.

Lug nuts are like your appendix - you dont think about them until something goes wrong. They felt solid, went on, and stayed on, and I havent thought about them yet. I did not try removing them, but cant see why I should anticipate any issues.

Rusted within a year!

My 2012 Nissan Pathfinder has 21mm lug nuts. This Gorilla 41127B is 19mm. Much to my dismay, it's not a perfect replacement. It does fit the threads, but now I have to keep in mind that this uses 19mm socket. So I will be looking else where to find an OEM replacement that's 21mm socket.

I was disappointed to see rust the next day after installing these, and there is not even salt on the roads yet. I had hoped that paying more would ensure a better product. They do spin on nice.
