You get what you pay for.
The kit was basically what I expected for the price I paid, and I have figured out the problem with the inches for (some) people's measuring tape, mine included. They aren't actually inches. If your non-metric side of the tape has a Chinese symbol or two on it (mine looks like this: 市寸), then the measurements are actually in cùn ([...](unit)). Problem being, this is a really old unit of measurement that was standardized differently in different countries. My light green measuring tape appears to be 3.333 cm to the cùn, making it about 1.3 inches, the Chinese standard that's been used since 1930. Wild!My major gripes with this kit, aside from the halfway useless tape, are:1. The plastic yarn/tapestry needle in mine is fricking MASSIVE (the eyelet alone is a whole inch in length and a quarter of an inch wide; the entire needle is 3.75 inches or thereabouts) making it pretty much useless for any project smaller than a loosely knit worsted yarn. It's also a pretty poor mold - the tip needs to be trimmed and sanded so it doesn't look like it's been chewed on. The metal tapestry needle is better, but also has an inch-long eyelet.2. one of the plastic locking stitch markers broke the first time I used it :/ lame3. I am not even remotely confident in the clasp on this box. The lid can wiggle around even when the box is closed and "locked."I haven't found a use for the tweezers, the cable needles are also quite long and overall fairly thick, the snips did come with both a bit of rust and what feels like oil or grease on them...but they cut just fine.Overall, I'd call it a pretty good value for money, but the notions are not what I'd consider high quality. If you're getting it as a gift for an adult who's been knitting for more than three or four months, you might want to spring for the Clover accessories kit one instead (more than twice as expensive and not all the same contents, but Clover always makes good products: Clover Knit Mate Knitting Accessories Set - plus, Clover's slim zip bag will fit in more places than the bulky box does.)The product photos are also misleading - whenever you see the "contents" next to a filled kit, the contents are not photographed on the same scale as the kit itself.

No brainer purchase.
I just spent about $5 per package on cable needles and stitch markers because I couldn't find mine when I went to pick up my knitting after a several year break. I saw this come up as a suggested item and I wanted more of those giant safety pin things, so I thought why not? For two bucks more I could get the pins and a bunch of other notions I'd eventually find use for. This case is TINY. The box measures just 5" x 2.5" x 1". It's so cute. The case itself is kind of flimsy and I think the latch will most likely break, but it could be secured with a rubber band if that happens. I wish there was some kind of silicon cover for that mini scissor thing because I'm definitely going to clumsily cut myself with that, it's just a given. But for less than $7, this is a handy thing to throw in your bag so you have everything you need, or a good back-up to throw in your *other* knitting bag. (You know what I'm talking about!)I read in the reviews that some people got measuring tapes that were wildly inaccurate, so I expected to just throw mine away, but mine is fine! Hopefully that problem has been fixed. But I'd definitely double check just in case because I can't imagine how annoying it would be to keep frogging your work and realize it's the damn tape that's to blame.

List of contents
When I bought this and wrote this review there was no list of contents in either other reviews or the discription. So...1 box 2.75inchx5.25inch1 Soft Measuring Tape goes to 60inch or 150cm*(another reviewer says their measuring tape was not in inches and cm, I would ask the seller what one you will receive before ordering as mine was in and cm)6 plastic rectangles about 1inchx1.33inch (extra box dividers, ty H Kohen!)4 end protectors- 2 green medium, 1 green 1 pink large1 snipper/scissor pair1 tweezers with teeth3 cable needles US guage 3, 6 & 92 stitch holders, 4.75inch and 2.75inch2 tapestry needles, 1 large plastic, one smaller metal1 stitch ripper (ty again H Kohen, never would have found out lol)1 something like a cross between thimble and ring?15 plastic circle stitch holders, 5 small 5 medium 5 large20 metal clasping keyhole stitch holders various colors8 plastic saftey pin stich holders, 4 orange 4 greenEven with the few items I haven't seen/used I still think this is more then worth the $10. The box fits the contents nearly exactly, so don't expect to be adding to this box unless you're taking out something ;-)Good little kit.***ALWAYS CHECK WITH SELLER FOR EXACT CONTENTS AS I CAN ONLY TELL YOU WHAT WAS IN MY KIT***

Great for price
The snips are nice and sharp, though they had a bit of excess oil that needed to be wiped off.The bodkin latches nice and tight, and its teeth align easily. The stitch holders work well and are easy to open and closeThe cable needles are very smoothThe seam ripper is very sharp and cuts easilyThe plastic needle is very large and I don't think I'll find a use for it.The metal needle has a large eye and works well for worsted weight yarnThe knitting stitch markers are quite thin and 3 sizesThe keyhole stitch markers (silver and gold color) are nice and sharp and stay closedThe point protectors stay on well, but both sizes were the same colorOne of the locking stitch markers broke on first use, but the rest seem fine. Some did have a bit of extra flashing from the production mold, but the included snips removed it easily. The tape measure is in cm and cun, not inches, and it smelled quite badly, so I threw that out.I doubt I'll use the ring thimble, but it fits comfortablyOverall it's a great little kit for the price and the box is smaller than my hand so it fits well in my purse.
