Well constructed junction box. The device can be slid out the side of the box for troubleshooting or wiring. With a little bit of an adjustment to the placement of the instrument a 25 amp SSR would fit the box nicely. My 4 amp OPTO 22 SSR has plenty of room. The device sticks slightly outside of the box due to the angle of the side, but because of the recess in the lid it fits perfectly. The instrument I have installed is protruding 96mm inside the box.

It is made of thick aluminum. It is not a rectangular prism. Easy to drill, but difficult to cut. Great for a custom power supply or other electronic projects that need some RF shielding or cooling.

Good box, but the screw holes for the cover are not tapped out. Burning out the provided screws trying to tap the holes. Going to find shorter screws

I made a Raspberry Pi Zero, HiFiBerry Hat, Volumio audio player that plays from local file share or internal USB sticks that holds over 500 albums in FLAC format. External antenna improves range. 5V buck converter allows the use of any power supply between 5 - 34 volt. Screws holes aren’t tapped, but included machine screws do the work nicely as they are harder than the softer aluminum.

This is a great medium sized aluminum box from BUD. The surface is brushed aluminum and looks great! Feels like high quality all over. It doesn’t come with the optional attachment mounting plate. But does comes with the screws needed to secure the lid. It’s a great box for RF shielding and other projects. Good price too!

This box is well made, , screw hole is not threaded , also this is not a square box, it is in trapezoid shape

The CU-234 aluminum "Econobox" from BUD Industries feels far from "economy." It was very nicely cast/machined out of what feels, looks, and functions like good quality aluminum. Mating surfaces were flat and true, all holes aligned perfectly; threading was smooth and consistent, included screws were fine- again clean and smooth. Light-brush finish looks nice if your application leaves it exposed- doesn't show scratches or spotlight any surface contamination. Nice piece.

The box is a typical nice, sturdy aluminum box. My only complaint was that the screw holes in the box weren't perfectly tapped, or the screws themselves were somewhat imperfect, because the first few times they went in, I had to seriously wrench down on them. The screws basically had to cut the threads. Now it's perfectly fine though!

Solid, simple and a little bigger than I was thinking.

Worked well. Easy to drill. Solid. Good for something that needs more space than a typical guitar pedal. I used it to make a box that allows you to switch between 2 tube amps using the same speaker cabinet. The amp not selected gets a dummy load. It all fit in the box nicely.

I used a couple for small electronic projects, works great. Easy to drill and file where needed.
