Bought this to replace an identical unit that I thought was no longer working properly. Cudos to the seller on how this was packaged. It was packaged safely in styrofoam and included detailed instructions on how to put it together and hang it. Surprisingly, the instructions were so good that they allowed me to repair my old unit. I'm keeping the new one though. A word to the wise, the clock hands are very delicate and bend easily if you're not careful. Be gentle. I am pleased with the quality of the clock and how well that it is working. It looks amazing on the wall.

This movement looks so good on my wall and is such a big improvement on the smaller one I had before I wish I could give it 5 stars. Unfortunately the screw on the front which holds these hands in place appears to slacken with each rotation causing it to lose time. Because of this I have had to reset the time repeatedly. I am disappointed but I believe the weight of the hands is responsible for this and not poor workmanship. Since I really like the movement I've recently used a pair of pliers to tighten the screw and will observe how it functions. Update: I have had no issues since using a pair of pliers to tighten the front screw.

Inexpensive and a fun way to fill up some wall space. This replaced a similar clock from another manufacturer that cost 3 times more and lasted only 18 months. For the price of this one if it lasts only 18 months it will be money well spend. The hands are aluminium and can easily be accidentally bent if you are not careful, not a complaint just an observation. The instructions are poorly translated by Chinese seller.. Example "The movement is a precision instrument, please do not violent assemble." I was gentle! Since I already had numbers on the wall from the previous clock installation took perhaps 10 minutes including taking it out of the box. The clock was nicely packaged and I doubt one would arrive with damage the packaging is that good, in my opinion. You do need to stop at the "dollar store" to get an old fashioned carbon battery as instructions say do not use an alkaline, lithium or rechargeable AA battery. I got a package of 6 for a dollar at the store as I could not buy just one. Interesting, the battery package said for "low drain products such as a clock." B. C. Aronson's husband Tod. 9-15-2019

Absolutely disappointed. I had a similar product on my wall for almost 6 years-worked great! Finally it was time to get a new one. I returned the first one since the hour hand just flopped around and the second one they sent did the same thing. I just don't understand why they can't PRE build the hands onto the stem. They bend too easily, the finger prints all over it from trying to adjust it are hard to clean off. Build it ahead of time!!!It would fit in the box, since that's how I sent it back.

I have 2 of these. They do so much for a wall for so little $. I grew up with analog clocks, so the remind me of the old days. UPDATE: I moved, and the movers damaged the hands on both of these clocks. I wrote to the seller, because I love these clocks, but I couldn't rehang them damaged. The seller was very accommodating. Exemplary way of doing business. Highly recommend this seller.

I was absolutely pleased with how easy this was to use for my wall clock project, in fact I ended up making two, his and hers. But the icing on the cake; It’s been about 6 months and it’s still keeping time, best guess with in a minute. My clock is more of a sculpture decoration, not meant to be precise time clock, so the fact that they are both still matching and keeping time, I couldn’t be more pleased.

I had to return this item. I ordered it to replace the one I bought 4 years ago from Hobby Lobby. It finally stopped working, but I can't complain. It was only $20 and I got my money's worth and then some. Unfortunately, Hobby Lobby no longer sells it so I purchased this particular clock mechanism from Amazon instead. I immediately noticed that the round part of the clock mechanism does not have a back cover. When i say "back cover", i mean the part where the battery is inserted. Please understand that the battery is safe in it's compartment and will not come out, however, I always feel the need to put a cover over the back (that's just my personal preference). The problem of not having a back for me is that I wanted to put a command strip on the back cover and stick it on the wall just as I done with the previous one i had. Without a cover on the back, I was unable to stick it on my wall the way I wanted to. I sent it back and ordered a different one from a different seller. I hope the new one i ordered has a back covering. The description on most of these clock mechanisms doesn't say whether it has a back or not. I automatically assumed they all have back coverings, but apparently I was wrong. I want to clarify that the clock itself actually worked once a battery is inserted. Again, for me, i needed to have a back to cover it.

Absolute crap.... worked for a whole half hour and then stopped. Replaced battery and reset the time and still didnt work. Very disappointing, especially when I waited a 3 weeks for it to arrive.
