love using this in the backyard for no goalie soccer games!
What stands out immediately is the portability and ease of use. The goal literally pops open for setup and folds down in seconds for storage, a boon for spontaneous matches and when the kids are eager to play without delay. The size is perfect for our backyard space, making it feel like a real soccer field but on a scale that's manageable and doesn't take over the entire yard. Durability is impressive; it has withstood numerous games and the occasional errant kicks without any signs of wear and tear. The material feels robust, and the included anchoring pegs ensure it stays firmly in place, avoiding any interruptions from a goal that shifts out of position. The goal's visibility is also a plus. The bright color stands out against the grass, making it easy for the kids to focus on their target during those high-energy play sessions. It's an added layer of fun that keeps them moving and practicing their soccer skills with enthusiasm. I have noticed the goal is lightweight, so while it's easy to move around, it might need extra securing in windy conditions. This hasn't been much of an issue for us, though, as the kids are more than happy to chase after a wayward goal - just part of the fun!

I don't rate very many products, but given that we use these just about every day, I figured I should probably share my good experience. We bought some PVC goals about 2 years ago. They worked pretty well for awhile, but as time wore on they disintegrated. So for my son's 5th birthday we got this set of 2 PUGG goals. We've had them for a few months now, and they are working great. To make these last longer I wanted to be able to take them down after each use and put them away so the sun didn't destroy them. Just about every day my boys want to go out back and play soccer. It has not been a big hassle to put these away, and they are holding up great so far. I don't see a single sign of wear and tear so far. I have been very pleased. There are many pros to list, so I will be brief. 1) Good durability 2) Ease of setup 3) Features to stake the goal down are integrated and work well 4) The size of these is perfect when you have a kid (my oldest is 7) that wants to play goalie 5) The bag is easy to carry around and putting the goals in it can be done very quickly (although you do have to do both at once, one at a time will get the corner of the second one tangled in the net of the first) 6) Price - I did a fair amount of comparison shopping and being able to get these for $80 bucks was a great deal. Most of the time you have to buy these one at a time, and those will run $50-75. Getting a pair for $80 was great. And since the quality of these is so good, I don't expect needing to buy another goal for 10+ years. The one and only con I would give them is that the method to fold them back up might be an issue for someone more petite. I'm 6'5" and 200 pounds and it has taken a little practice to be able to twist these up and fold them back into a storable position. I could see someone with a smaller wingspan than I having trouble. Getting the 4 foot goals would probably be much easier. Also one adult and a 7-8 year old could probably tag team it really easily. The problem is that you have to grab one side and pull it, then with your other hand grab and twist the corner of the frame on the other side. Creating kind of a twisting scissor effect with your arms. Not even a big enough problem to knock it down a star, but worth mentioning to an online buyer.

Nice backyard set for the kids!
So I had purchased a goal set from Dick's Sporting Goods about 1.5 years ago. It was a 6 ft. rectangle goal with net made from PCV, and had metal steaks....and basically both goals lasted me less than 1.5 years - they fell apart about 6 months ago. I paid over $100.00 for the goals, so I wasn't the happiest. My kids are athletic and love to play outside, so I decided to replace the goals for Christmas. I did some research and decided to purchase this set. I got a great price from a seller, so I purchased this two goal + carry bag set. The goals themselves are just flexible enough, perfect for on the go. The set up was simple (my 8 year old set up the goals by himself in a minute!), and the goals themselves are durable....one of my sons (6'3" 240 lbs) came crashing into one of the goals but thankfully it didn't break (like the PVC goal did when my older son accidentally fell into it during a game)....not that I recommend putting these through that test repeatedly - maybe I just got lucky that day?? lol I actually like the smaller goal size because it encourages shooting accuracy. The only drawback is that the kids don't get any practice angling the ball in the upper left or right corners (like they would a bigger goal). My kids are 17, 11, and 8, and they have played with it every day since we received it a few days after Christmas. I also accidentally left it outside in a rain storm but it survived and is still standing strong! We will see as time goes on how durable this set is....but for some backyard and park fun, and for doing some drills, it's perfect!

Get this one! Great product!
This is the one you want! Portable, easy to set up -- in fact it's all set up for easy use right away. No comparison to the cheaper models around $45 from other companies, that made me want to rip my eyes out -- and were not portable at all really.

Terrific for small sided games
This is one of my favorite equipment for small sided games. It provides a visual of the objective (score a goal) and forces the players to concentrate on their shots. I use it for U12 and under games up to about 5v5 and grid size about 20yd x 30yd...maybe bigger grid if I have non-trad setup. I have two pairs so it allows a lot of variation if I want to make match-related games of 8v8. I also have the two pairs of the smaller 4 foot PUGGs but don't find that as useful as they are a bit too small. The carry bag with should strap is great. After 6 months of use 2x week, no problems. I ask my players not to kick the ball out from the side or behind the goal as this would obviously be a big reason the fabric or net tears. A few additional notes: 1. This 6 foot PUGG is more realistically like 5 foot wide by 3 foot high net. The 4 foot PUGG is more like 3.5x3 foot WxH. It probably does stretch out to 6 foot but I hesitate to put that much tension...either that or they count the elastic banded pegs toward the length??? 2. If you get these, I would suggest multiple pairs and to watch the Coerver training video series as they show a variety of set ups for small sided games (1v1 thru maybe 5v5). But for typical match-play 8v8 scrimmages in a 40 x 60 yd grid, these are a bit too small...I use training poles or larger goals/rebounders instead because the field is too crowded to make a shot from the distance and pressure the players face. 3. Takes about 20 seconds to set up each one. The pegs are hard plastic but easy to break if the ground is hard and pushing in by hand. They include a few extra pegs, but don't take the chance as the pegs are probably hard to replace. I use a 8oz. mini hammer (also sold on Amazon, Sears, and some hardware stores) to pound in the pegs regardless of soft or hard ground.

Awesome goals!
Once you fold these goals once or twice you've got it figured out and it's a complete snap. They fit perfectly into the bag, which has a nice shoulder strap for convenience. Their portability is fantastic; I keep these in my trunk and wherever we go we can pop them up and have an instant soccer game. The pegs are easy to push into the ground to secure them but I have noticed that you need to slide a third peg through the back of the net to hold the goal in place to prevent wind from flipping them over. My only complaint about these goals which I've now had for 3 months is this: some sporadic rips in the netting are creating some holes. The netting is not the most durable material, I've observed. My 7 y.o. and his friends, who are as old as 11, will play and they're not striking the ball so hard that I'd expect there to be some ripping. I fear that it is the quality of the netting used to construct the goals. I find that a little disappointing as these goals are not cheap. But, all in all, I'm very pleased with these goals and highly recommend them. I'd also suggest the 6-footer for anyone. At first I thought they might be too big but they're so portable and take up little space. Plus I like that the target is not too big and not too small; it really teaches kids to be precise with their ball-striking.

Awesome portable pop-up training goals!
I'm a soccer coach and have been using the 6 ft. PUGG goals during training sessions for the last 10 years. I use them every practice. Twice a week during outdoor season, and up to ten practices a week during indoor season. These goals are perfect for small-sided practice scrimmages! I've used them for 6 v 6 scrimmages, but usually split the group up and have multiple 3 v 3 scrimmages going at the same time. These goals are also great for 1 v 1 and 2 v 2, and for various soccer drills. I personally own 4 sets of 6 ft. PUGG goals. Earlier this year I purchased 20 sets to be used for a soccerfest for 660 soccer players in the ages 6 thru 18. I got my first set of 6 ft. PUGG goals for my birthday 10 years ago. This set lasted for 8 years of abuse, when finally the attachment for the third peg ripped from the backside of the goal. I still use the set for indoor practices though. The PUGG goals come with three plastic anchoring pegs to stake down the goal. The pegs are attached to the goal with elastic bands. Two pegs are attached to the corners at the front of the goal and the third peg is attached to the back of the goal. I usually only anchor the goal down with the peg that is attached to the back of the goal, by staking it through the ring at the back of the goal and then into the ground. When it's very windy, then I anchor the goal that's facing the wind also down with the pegs attached to the front corners. Tell your players to never force the pegs into the ground with their cleats, because they will break! Always use your hands. When the ground gets hard after a long drought, I always look for dandelions and drive the pegs smoothly down into the ground through the center of the dandelion. In 10 years, I had to replace four pegs. I broke the first one myself (because I hadn't read the instructions that said not to force the pegs into hard ground). The other three broke when players used their cleats to force the pegs down into the ground. No worries though. Each set comes with three replacement pegs. And PUGG sells replacement pegs on their website ($7.95 for a set of 6). PROS: 1) Very easy to set up and take down. 2) Light weight. Weighing just 7 lbs per set. 3) Compact. They fold into a teardrops shape with a length of 46 inch a width of 32 inch. Both goals flat into the carrying bag take approx. 1 inch. 4) Easy to transport. Comes with carrying bag with carrying strap. You can easily carry three sets over one shoulder and still have your hands free to carry other equipment. 5) Easy to store. The loop at the top of the teardrop shaped carrying case allows for hanging them from nail or hook flat on your garage wall. 6) Pegs are attached to the goal with elastic bands so you won't loose them. (I also have a set of 6 ft. Fold-A-Goal pop-up goals, but those come with loose metal stakes that easily get lost.) 7) Durability. My first set lasted for 8 years. 8) All weather. Rain or shine. 9) Excellent service. I contacted PUGG directly after receiving one of the goals with a peg that had an improperly manufactured elastic band. They sent me a set of replacement pegs free of charge. 10) The kids love them! CONS: 1) Pegs aren't indestructible. They will break when forced into hard ground. 2) Goals will almost flatten in very strong winds. (However, they won't blow away when anchored into the ground with the pegs.) So in summary: Forget about playing with cone goals, get a set of PUGG goals! I highly recommend these goals to any and every coach, as well as to parents for their kids to use in the backyard. Note: When shopping for a set of PUGG goals, be aware of the fact that they also sell single goals. Double check that you are buying a set of two goals before finalizing your order!

everything as advertised
The Pugg 6ft. goal set is a bargain for the advertised priced. Compared to the price of purchasing it in the local department stores, it is a steal. I use this product frequently with my three and five year old kids, and they absolutely love it! We utilize it mainly during 1 v 1 drills, however when the neighborhood kids also see it everyone flocks to our yard to eagerly participate. Even then it's great for quick pick-up game play and easy enough for a kid to break-down. The goals are overall sturdy in design. The material of the net is made of a durable mesh and has proven to withstand both the elements and the many attempts of young children to tear it apart from the frame. The stakes included are an added bonus, however could be modified in the future to be a little thicker (and less likely to break when setting on top of resisted ground conditions). The carrying bag is also handy for transporting the goals, and I often "reward" my kids by allowing them to help dad carry the goals to and from the park. Overall, a great product that your little ones can grow with!

and easy to set up
The soccer clubs I'm affiliated with are using PUGG nets because they are very durable, light, and easy to set up. These nets are small, as advertised, but they are very convenient to carry around so it is not completely a bad thing for them to be so small. For three-year-olds such as we now have in our clubs, the size is perfect. We have little balls and these little nets, and the kids know that this stuff is for them. I'm counting on these lasting for many years, in spite of the fact that some kids will literally jump up and down on them.

These are awesome!
This was one of our best purchases for our three boys. They get so much use, and dragged around our neighbourhood. It's been 1.5yrs since we bought these and they are still perfect, and have been through the wringer, thats for sure! :)

5 stars but...
This is a quality product and exactly as described but be aware that it really is only suitable for small children. Any fully grown person that stands in front of it blocks most of the goal and makes it very hard to score in. I bought them hoping they would be good for a fun game in the park but unfortunately the hour long game yielded only 3 goals. Next time we'll have to go back to using jumpers for goalposts.

Good stuff, glad I bought them.
Good. Easy to set up and peg down, quick to strike and put back in the bag. Seem well made, and a very good price.
